This game is amazing. Yes, it's difficult, just like all of From's games. But no game before this has offered the freedom of play, build and approach like Elden Ring. There are endless ways to play this game if you really want to play it once, try a 'souls' game for the 1st time, or 100% it and play for 500 hrs like the obsessed people like myself.

In addition to that, the difficulty is only part of this game. There is a complex tapestry of lore, told through minimal direct dialogue, atmospheric and environmental details and stories, as well as written item descriptions snippets. If you don't want to spend the time to read a bunch of lore tweets, that's fine! Just take in the beauty and detail of the world, you'll learn most of what you need to know.

Also these games can help you become a better you. It allow me to learn how to do hard things, overcome challenges and be tenacious. Anyone who has beaten any of the souls games understands what I mean. Embrace the challenge. Accept that you will die lots and that's ok. You dont really lose anything. Even if you dont pick up your dropped runes/souls, that's fine too, there's always more. What matters more than your level or gear, is your skill, and that can always get a bit better over time.
