Far Cry 4 is for people who have imagination in taking down their enemies, turning Kyrat into their personal playground. Unfortunately I'm not one of those people. Giving someone like me a large map, filling it up with collectibles, chests and various activities, I will invest 80 hours into doing all of them. After 30-40 hours that stops being fun, especially if you take too much time between missions.

Don't save up on money. If you unlock something, buy it and go have fun. It's unlikely you will run out of cash, cos there are so many ways to earn it. However, don't buy every map as soon as you can, cos you will be overwhelmed by the sight of what is available. Ignorance is bliss, just enjoy the moment and focus on completing the next objective.

Forget about the chests, only open those that are closest to you at any given moment. Do not go on a chest-hunt, it's just mindless grinding. When it comes to discovering locations and looting, beyond just using the grappling hook to access them, I would like to see puzzles in future games, at least at the locations that are harder to get to. I don't know if anyone remembers this French TV show, but I enjoyed the hell out of Fort Boyard as a kid. Seeing something along those lines would make that side of Far Cry a lot more engaging.

What I enjoyed about Far Cry 3, I enjoyed here as well. The hunting, the combat, climbing up bell towers (again, reminded me of Fort Boyard) and liberating outposts. But that's about it. To do just that for 20-30 hours, I would be content, but since I see all of that stuff on the map, I want all of it and I have no clue why. Every open world game has turned into a completionist nightmare, not full of game, but content.

The game wasn't hard enough on Normal for me to hire help, so I spent almost nothing on those upgrades. I guess I would find a use for them on Hard. I also didn't use syringes much, except for healing, cos picking plants ran its course in the previous game. I'm also tired of slippery mountains, eagles, leaving an outpost and be told soon after that it's under attack. Most of all, I kept hoping that Pagan Min would have Rabi Ray Rana shot on air.

Far Cry 4's bell towers, outposts and fortresses are puzzles in their own right, but everything between them is a bore. Granted, a pretty-looking bore. I soon gave up on reading letters, notes and journals. Once again, chests offered loot in the way of junk you can sell in a click of a button and also money. Chests = loot + money = money + money. Loot that is junk is not loot, which I hated in the Bioshock games as well.

While I definitely recommend this game, I recommend it in moderation, cos it's a linear shooter in a vast open world, which makes it hollow. No matter how crazy the villain or the hallucinations in these games, no matter how many hundred people you assign to develop them, it's all too impersonal to stay with you. But if you know how to have fun in Far Cry, you will have fun and then some.

I could've done without the Benny Hill reference. I enjoyed To The Moon very much, but I suggest you watch a movie instead. Princess Mononoke is a good one. Or perhaps Kiseki (2011).

Psychonauts is like a book with a weird cover. It's a game worth getting into though, even if your eyes might not agree with the art design. Once I got past my nitpicking, I finally gave it the shot it so very deserved. Psychonauts is a 3D platformer meets an adventure game and honestly, I had no idea about the former. As with all platformers, you'll die plenty from falling, which is partly due to a fixed camera and partly cos you suck. Then there are a couple of areas that just aren't very forgiving, but it's nothing you can't overcome. I'd say the difficulty level is just right for this sort of game, apart from the initally daunting and almost sadistic Meat Circus.

It's funny, charming and fun to explore. Finding collectibles is made enjoyable, but you'll have to look out for a Point of No Return, otherwise you won't get 100%. The music from Milla's Dance Party is still in my head, a level that reminded me of the club mission in DmC Devil May Cry. I doubt Ninja Theory were influenced by Psychonauts, these games being such opposites, nevertheless I found it amusing.

First Double Fine/Tim Schafer game now under my belt and I'll be checking out more from them. If it weren't for the massive development budgets we have right now, we'd see more cool games like these. Games like No One Lives Forever 3, which I'm still rooting for.

Do you have a boring job and come home exhausted, on a good day? Does your brain yearn for stimulus in the face of monotonous tasks and worst of all, the Monday grind? Then look no further! Lyne is relaxing, stimulating and fun. No one's going to rush you, swear at you or shoot you.

If you don't pick it up during a sale, that's fine, cos it's only [insert regional price] anyway. Go on partner, join the Lyne dance!

Nobody really knows why this game is good. It's written down on a scroll somewhere. It's a platformer in an ocean of platformers. It's sweet and pretty, it's enough and not too much, it's easy on Normal and sometimes annoying on Normal, cos who enjoys falling to their death repeatedly? But that's the genre.

Get into the swing of things using Thief; mow down skeletons using a bow with up to three arrows in one shot. If she's dead for some reason, choose the knight to mow down even more skeletons. If these classes fail, use the Wizard to get to the next checkpoint. You can even fly Aladdin-style using two conjured planks on top of one another, once you turn on levitation. Leviosaaa, baby!

I haven't tried co-op and I've yet to play the game on Hard mode, but I'm 4 achievements shy of 100%, so I felt comfortable enough to share my thoughts. Finland has some great developers, so I feel good about supporting them. I rate this game "Ihan mahtava, peukalot pystyyn!"

Shadow Warrior Classic Redux completed, perfected and uninstalled, for the first time ever. My main goal with this game? Enjoy an old school shooter and have fun achievement hunting. Expansions, or perhaps just the gameplay, got repetitive though and the Twin Dragon boss fight was the lowest point. Then again, pretty much all of the boss fights were a formality, but that's how they usually made them back then. For comparison, the ending of Doom II was intense for me.

I had a blast with the main game. Great fun and just long enough. I liked the humor, the weapons, the setting, level design, but there's no particular need to play the expansions, unless you're still pumped up and want some more of the same. I very much appreciate the achievements (all of them single player), the modern menu, not having to mod anything, etc. Just install and play. All of id Software's back catalog should get the same treatment.

There are some bugs, like quick loading will crash the game repeatedly or the game will stop saving here and there. Exiting the game usually fixed that stuff for me. Other than that it's smooth sailing. If you need a demo, well, Shadow Warrior Classic is free on Steam. It's silly fun and I got a new favorite weapon, the Guardian Head. I'll be trying the demo for the new game soon, cos I'm hungry for more Wang.

The number one concern with any multiplayer game is whether people still play it or not. People still play Day of Defeat: Source, so calm down. I once tried it during a free weekend and then I bought it in a store. That was roughly 7 years ago.

I'm not a big multiplayer guy, I almost prefer arena shooters with bots to traditional multiplayer, stuff like Unreal Tournament and Quake III, but this game and I clicked somehow, it was chemistry. Most multiplayer games fall off the wayside in my case, I lose interest. It doesn't help when the developer/publisher/community loses interest, since developers are usually off to working on the next game. I place no blame, it's the nature of the business. It's pretty remarkable that this community persists despite Valve not paying much attention to Day of Defeat: Source these days and despite all the other games out there, this is by no means a franchise in the vein of Battlefield or Call of Duty. I think that's pretty special, when the industry has left WW2 shooters behind.

I've played most of the official maps. There are some nice community maps as well. But never mind all that, cos Donner is a home away from home, even though I only play at home. I don't know what it is about this map, but the truth is that I stopped playing other maps at some point, so Donner must be perfect or at least close to perfect. There's something beautiful about the simplicity of Day of Defeat: Source and I think it best shines in Donner. No offense to the other maps, there are some truly great ones. It's a personal preference I guess.

Day of Defeat: Source is a good time, I don't know what else to say to you, man or woman. I can enjoy it on public servers, there are great communities around certain servers, ones provided by UKCS, for example. You're either going to pick up a cheap WW2 multiplayer game with a small, yet active community, or you're not. If you do decide to join us, I hope you have a good time.
