This CAN be a damn fun game, IF you know 4 things. And I will provide them to you, here, because I had to spend HOURS looking for solutions.
1. After starting the game for the first time, go to "Documents->My Games->Fallout4VR". Open Fallout4Custom.ini.
Add these lines to it:
[VRDisplay]
fRenderTargetSizeMultiplier=1.0
bUseRecommendedResolution=1
Without them, Fallout will render in your DESKTOP RESOLUTION instead of VR RESOLUTION, and look like a blurry mush. If you have a good PC you can increase the Rendertarget line up to 1.9 for better visuals.
[TAA FIX]
TAAPostSharpen=0.675
fTAASharpen=1.0000
fTAAHighFreq=0.8000
fTAALowFreq=0.5000
fTAAPostOverlay=0.675
3. Use a Modlist like Mad God Overhaul to quickly and easily get all fixes and patches you need. And if not a Modlist, at least get the FRIK Mod. Without that Mod Fallout VR is nothing but a cheap moneygrab. With it, it becomes a proper VR game.
I know that sounds like a lot, but if you do not have to do the research and just implement what I wrote, you will be able to play rather quickly and have a ton of fun. Is it a GREAT VR game? No. It is decent. But it is AWESOME to be able to play such a BIG game fully in VR. Oh, and if you are lefthanded... feel free to contact me or comment on this review to get some workarounds and bugfixes for playing lefthanded. Most mods and the game itself have some issues with that, I found fixes.
