I hate this game; my life was torn asunder.

I got a new job, was fired for unscrupulous reasons, got a girlfriend, was dumped, then got an even better job.
Shortly after, my computer burned in a massive house fire, but I had to save my game before all hell broke loose.
I kept playing this game on a crappy laptop I bought for $100 at a garage sale, just so I could continue my vicious and damned addiction.

I started living in a friend's basement for a while. A few weeks later, I got an offer to rent a new house, with purchase options available.
A month later, while commuting to work, I was hit by a truck, broke all four bones in both legs, and fractured a few more in my feet.
Of course, I brought the damn laptop to the hospital to keep playing Space Engineers.
I would play with friends until my crappy mobile data ran out or I passed out from the morphine, as the pain was unbearable.

A few months later I recovered, got back to my (new) place, got a girlfriend, got married, and then got divorced. Life goes on.

Space Engineers does not, and I love it.

Just felt I should say this here after so few hours played.
The sandboxing, crafting, building, creativity, and survival aspects are top-notch.
I mastered none of those skills and cried many times while playing because of my incompetence.

I’d do it all over again. 11/10.

Buy it.

Trials of Mana is a modern revival, a remake/remaster of the old Seiken Densetsu 3, only released in the Eastern lands in the era of the Super Nintendo. I was expecting it to happen for decades, and I'm so happy it's here now!

tl;dr: That game is one of the best RPG's I ever played back then, and stays true to its roots in this new version, with a few extras.

This new release changes many things starting from the old 2D sprite graphics going to 3D, and combat system stays relatively true to the original. It also features many improvements and additions which weren't possible in the SNES era.

For the oldschool players this release will feel VERY easy, depending on how often you would play old ARPG's at the time. If you already know the story from the first release, you can expect a few added things in newgame+ like unlocked chain abilities, retained character levels and you get to try another story with another group, with the possibility to bring characters used before with their retained level to this new playthrough. It will make the game easier though, it's your choice.

Once you understand the game system, it's all pretty simple, and all you have to do is choose the right moves and/or spells and spam the enemy. At certain points, your characters will evolve and change class from a pool of choices you make through the game. Also, I recommend you play it in the "No future" mode for an extra challenge. The rolling mechanic is an entirely new addition that further facilitates the game for new players.

One important aspect of the game was left out, which was the multiplayer, I used to play with friends using the multitap adapter on the SNES console. It was incredibly fun and SquareEnix is not probably bringing it back for this release. Maybe things will change down the line, but don't hope for it.

Endless World is one of the most interesting and different idle games I ever played of the genre. You will need a lot of patience, as in all idle games. You can have everything playing as a F2P player and there are small bonus packages you can get that will accelerate your progress, it's entirely up to you to support the developers if you enjoy the game! I have been playing it for more than 6 months and will continue playing as it develops.

You have a huge assortment of mercenaries to chose from to make your team, and as you play you will unlock other artifacts (weapons) that you can use on your main character which is caught in a time-loop-world-protection story, every time you progress further there's a few lines of dialogue between the characters, bosses, and Andil which is apparently the keeper of time and briefly explains to you the whole ordeal, always making funny remarks. Pretty much all dialogue is fun. Your main character is the one that needs to band up the mercs and keep them under control, to explain what's happening, and what are the effects of time travel to fight their own 'old personas'.

After the latest updates the added passive skills and skill leveling up have further improved the game, and you also have options to participate in weekly events like Arena (PVP), Sprint runs (to increase your highest level reached and get more rewards) and 3 different leagues to participate, each one giving you different resources needed to upgrade the mercenaries, levels, skills and artifacts, gather even more mercs as well as upgrade other aspects of the game.

Oldschool game, like the Ultima series from the 80/90's. Huge world to explore. LOTS of items and secrets to find, if you like old rpg's by all means give it a go to the entire series. The third game will be out soon.

It's Destiny 2, the game has a nice story, fun and complete PVP and PVE modes, endless content and quests. No need to say anything else. It's not Anthem, it's not Warframe.

It's D E S T I N Y 2. Get it, play it, love it or hate it.

This is one of the best games I've ever played. I'm a founder, and purchased the game long before it was available on Steam. The game has come a long way since then, 3 years ago with constant support.

You get to play a nice action shooter, with parkour elements, lots of diversified missions and your run of the mill coop missions, capture the flag style, base control/defense and you have a plethora of weapons and customizations to use and find out in missions. It's one of the best games of the genre, if not the best. You get a lot of great classes, weapons and melees, parkour and ninja costumes, what can go wrong?

The only fair warning I give you: if you don't like RNG or don't have a lot of free time to play it, you will probably not enjoy the game in it's fullest colors. If those are not a problem, hop in and try it. You can get everything in the game for free without spending a single dime if you're patient. I've played it for over 3 years, in and out, and have almost everything just because I did not put in much effort to get some weapons / parts, but that is just a matter of dedicating time.

I am full of hatred.

I am the alpha and the omega, for I am death.

I am the relentless killer of every breathing life form. All humans and animals were harmed in the course of this game.

I discharge full clips of ammo on stuffed toys and pretty much everything else in my path.

10/10 would become full of hatred again.

I'm a long time fan of the series ever since the first game in 1991, but this is a major, major, disappointment on the technical side. Let me begin with the BAD things first. NetherRealm Studios somehow broke this game. I have over 1600 games in my library and absolutely NO OTHER GAME crashes as much as MK X. MK 9 for example runs flawlessly.

THE BAD:

In the first week of the release it had massive bugs, and also had massive patches to fix some of the issues, with updates over 15gb. The game still suffers from a bad memory leak problem which happens every so often, after 2-3 hours of gameplay. That is a bit upsetting but I managed to finish the game story and it was all fine, Krypt mode was fine, local versus was fine.
The really BAD thing is when you start to play online and try to have fun with friends, or perfect your fighting skills. All the recent patches the game received so far did nothing to help as well. I absolutely CAN'T complete a single online fight, either on KOTH mode, any rooms or single online versus. Crashes happen every time, and sometimes on character select screen or a few seconds into the fight, either with a black screen or simply the game freezing and not responding. And yes, I've tried a clean reboot, rolling back Nvidia drivers, rolling back PhysX drivers, reinstalling DX versions and everything else from scratch. Absolutely nothing I've done worked.

I will change this review at a later time when NetherRealm fixes this mess. Some friends report problems, others do not. It's really a hit and miss, depending on your system. Then again, an AAA game of this magnitude shouldn't have these issues, not by a long shot. As reference, I'm using a very good setup, i7, 16gb ram, gtx 980.

THE GOOD:

The story of the game is a retelling (with a bit of retconning) following the demise of Shao Khan a few years later and the plot that follows sometime after MK3. Graphics are very well done, gameplay is improved but still familiar for those coming from MK 9 / Injustice, and the game has a lot to offer for both old and new players. Story is a bit shorter than MK 9 but satisfying, and sets up a few twists and questions for future games.

Each fighter has 3 different styles, and as a general rule the variations cover rushdown/turtling/zoning. It's down to what style you like the best, and which one best counters the opponent's. You'll spend quite some time exploring the Krypt and unlocking some content for the game, while the rest you'll acquire playing the game, using each character many times and on the special hourly/daily/weekly towers, living towers and other future Invasion / Boss events.

CONCLUSION:

With all this said, I would recommend you to get the game if you really like the series, and see where the story goes, but it's not yet perfectly optimized for online play and you could have problems depending on your setup, with known bugs which have yet to be fixed. It pains me really as a fan to say this, but I will not recommend it at this time if you like a solid and smooth online experience.
