This is like an art student's take on what hacking is like. Granted, I'm not expecting realism here, but it doesn't touch on what makes hacking exciting. You've got all these diagetic screens and menus in the game but they don't do anything interesting or cool with them.

One of the first ErrantSignal recommendations I didn't enjoy.

Boring, bland, and very much on rails.

Game seems good but the port is really bad. Poor performance, and crashed within the first hour of playing.

This is a hard game. But it's special, and the reason its hard is because nature is hard. There's nothing mechanically challenging about this game, but you're playing in a world where you're just another piece of meat with legs and everyone's hungry. Understand this. Adapt to it. Find the joy in it. Don't approach it like other games as something to be conquered and discarded.

You spend the game understanding the ecosystem around you and how to exploit and manipulate it for survival, you very much feel like an animal whose primary concern is just getting their food for the day, and that's how you should play it at first. Don't feel the need to go nuts exploring, just be a slugcat, the game will open up to you in time. Figure out what you can eat and how to eat it, observe the behaviors of the animals around you, can they be killed? can they be befriended? can they be scared? can they be confused? The answer is yes to almost all animals.

Once you've got your rainlegs then start uncovering the mysteries of the world around you, of which there is in abundance. Just don't rush. Game is not meant to be rushed.

People giving this game negative reviews don't understand what an Extraction game is or how it works.

There is no MMR. That is the point. That is the entire point.

You go in with what you have, and see if you can get out something good. You use the good stuff to snowball, but that good stuff is rare so maybe you won't take it out.

Tarkov does not have MMR. Neither does The Cycle.

I really wish the devs would stick to their guns and not bow to people who don't understand the game. The game just needs to endeavor to be better understood, don't take all the tension out of the game because a couple dumbasses don't get what it is.

It's good. I like it. Tutorial is a little obtuse, in the beginning.. the player should be made to understand that not killing anynoe or anything and just grabbing something and getting out, is an acceptable way to play. You are not supposed to have balanced fights. Sometimes you are prey. Sometimes you are predator.

There is an inherent, intentional imbalance in the game. People. Please. Embrace an extraction shooter for what it is and stop trying to make it the same homogenous soup as everything else by whining at the devs until they cave because they're nervous about the game they spent so much time working on won't sell.

You can not like the game, that is fine, but you should understand the premise first.

If you like Prey (the new one) and the original Deus Ex, you will love the hell out of this.

I picked this up and played for 5 hours straight. One of the best games I've ever played.

edit: Just when you think it's over, you're only halfway through and the game opens up tremendously. I am incredibly curious about this dev team now

Loaded up the game, went through the tutorial.
Got my gear and headed out to my first mission.

Immediately killed by a hacker as soon as I stepped out of my pod.

No thanks.

Really cool game, kinda short and simple, feels a bit like a tech demo. (Honestly, $10 would have probably been a better price point but its w/e)

Really, someone should take this idea and run with it and make a fully fledged game out of this. There's just something about fiddling about with controls and screens in the atmosphere of a lonely ship that is just awesome.

I've had dreams about making a game where most of your interactions are with the interior of your ship from the first person. Everything from charting a course, to fixing conduits, to waiting for your coffee to be made by the kitchen, to restocking your cargo hold with supplies by hand once you dock in a port.

This game produces those vibes really well there's just not a whole lot more than that. The whole gameplay loop of interacting with your rover and upgrading it and whatnot is really engaging and interesting.

The roguelike nature of it doesn't seem to serve the game very well, and honestly feels like it would have been better as a standalone campaign with a set story and things to explore (kind like Outer Wilds) instead of randomly generated terrain with randomly generated artifacts sitting on the surface.

But, it's just one guy, and this just seems like a fun idea he had, and it's great for just that. Play this game if you want a REALLY COOL concept for a game and you want to test it out.

Scavenger SV-4 is one of the coolest prototypes masquerading as a full game i've ever played. That sounds like an underhanded dis but it's not, it's really cool and I wish there was so much more of it.

If you hate FTL, you'll hate this.

Sure, there's skill involved, but a pretty frequent amount of times, it doesn't matter how much skill you have because the game will ♥♥♥♥ you over with RNG anyways.

And I'm not casual. I just don't like RNG reliant roguelikes. RNG can be fun, but if winning relies on the map generator being generous, then it's stupid and frustrating.

You don't control any units in this game, you just tell them where to go and they attack what they want, so you can't compensate for bad RNG with skill.

Very frustrating.

I honestly cannot stop playing this amazing game.

What is it: Imagine hearthstone mixed with chess! It adds a whole new dimension of mechanics and they pull it off exceptionally well. Be prepared to have a few sleepless nights playing this game. It's addictive, it's deep, and it's easy to learn, hard to master.

I just joined a novice tournament, and I'm going to be coached by an s-rank player. I'm excited.

I left Hearthstone because it got WAY too RNG, and the packs got way too stingy.

Meta kept changing so rapidly and I couldn't possibly keep up with it with how stingy the legendary releases were.

I opened an orb today and got two legendaries. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ yes. 1 in 4 orbs has a legendary, every 2 wins you get 15 gold, every day you get about 75 gold in challenges. Most people get about 2 orbs a day, so that's about 15 legendaries a month just playing completely free.

Early Access Review
I'd wait until the early access is a bit more substantial.

I couldn't find anyone to play with, there's no campaign yet, it's kinda laggy, so far all I've been able to do is fart around with really dumb bots.

But, I have high hopes for this game, so we'll see.

Kinda wish I could find someone to play with
