Sadly, this games looks promising but has too many game affecting bugs that severely impact any fun from the game.

There seems to be official interaction on the steam forums except to announce a bug fix release every few months. Yet the same bugs that I encounter and the bugs other people have mentioned here on the forums never seem to be fixed.

Technically it runs on linux and I have been able to start games on linux, but the bugs seem to be on every system regardless.

I bought this on sale during a holiday sale and all I can say is that I feel all that money was wasted. I would not suggest that anyone waste money on this regardless of any seeming bargain basement price. It doesn't matter how cheap it is if you never actually enjoy the game.

I was always told that if you can't say anything nice about someone/something; don't say anything at all. If I listened to that advice, I would not have any content for a review.

The most positive thing I can say is that it never crashed and it runs well on linux. (Thanks to RenPy.)

The story is poorly written. I have seen porno with more interesting plots. There are no real choices in the game. If you click on a "choice" you get a quick dialog, then go back to make the next "choice" in the list until you choose them all.

Ok, I'm sure most people don't care about story and plots... But even those people will care when they need to click through uninteresting dialogs of text before they get to the sex scenes, and then those scenes are over faster than than a 16 year old virgin's first time. Even a threesome with 2 elves is only 5 clicks to get through it and thoroughly uninspiring.

While the women look decent in the game, many of the actual renders are horrible and plastic looking skin is common throughout. To the point that the quick scenes become a blessing. Look closely at the screenshots of the game... They are not that great and they are probably the "best," which is not saying much.

Even if you get this on sale, it would be overpriced. Do not waste your time or money on it.

I can't say that I ever played a game like Lumencraft before. It is a unique mix of a mining/tower defense/base building game. However you wish to describe it, it is a fun game to play.

I do not know how they did it, but the mining part seems serene, even the crunch of the drill against the rock seems relaxing like the ocean tide and completely unlike nails against a chalkboard. The controls take a few minutes to get the hang of, (and there is an alternate control option,) but it is done quite well. Controls can be mouse/keyboard (my preference) or gamepad control.

Mining is the biggest aspect of the game, you will need to mine Lumen to upgrade technology, you will need metal to build structures, and you will even need to mine rock just to clear out space to place your buildings.

Tower Defense skills are needed as well. You will build, walls, gates, and various towers to defend against ongoing waves of spiders, worms, trolls, and turtles that want to get into your base and kill you and your power station. You can make clones of yourself in case of death, but once the power station is gone, game over.

Right now there are 3 types of games... Base Defense, Adventure, and Challenge maps. There are only 8 maps currently, but more will come and there is a map editor included with steam workshop support. (Already there are about 100 different maps on the workshop.)

The game has a native linux client that runs well on Linux Mint 20.3 with AMD RX 6600 graphics.
The game also works on the steamdeck. It was working on my deck, however, I personally found it was harder to play on the deck due to the small details in the game being harder to see on the small screen. YMMV.

The developer has already added a new tower, a new weapon, a new map, and a few more critters since the initial release. I expect the rest of early access to be just as fruitful. They are also looking to add online multiplayer to the development roadmap.

If you like base builders or TD games, get Lumencraft, it is well worth the price.

If you like Tower Defense, be sure to get Elemental War 2.

The gameplay is like its predecessor... Plenty of different towers (over 100), many different strategies and a lot of fun.
(My review of the 1st Elemental War: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/id/stretch611/recommended/917850 )

Unfortunately, there is no longer a map editor, but that is because the old grid style maps have been replaced with beautiful hand drawn maps and paths. In fact, graphics as a whole have been fully upgraded and it looks spectacular. The towers have new unique designs, and the effects have been improved as well.

Like the predecessor, there are items that drop from the elementals. Items can grant passive global abilities, can be inserted into tower to improve or modify that tower, or have a special use that operates on a cooldown system. In addition to the basic items, you can unlock more powerful items by completing quests on each map.

The game has online leaderboards (across all platforms and consoles) as well as an online co-op mode. You can use your preference of a mouse/keyboard or a gamepad/controller.

Elemental War 2 has a native linux build and it works great with Linux Mint 20.3 with AMD graphics using Vulkan drivers. That native linux build allows Elemental War 2 to work fine on the SteamDeck as well.

The developer is quite responsive and does a good job fixing any issues as well as being open for suggestions to improve the game. He is easy to contact either through the steam forums or discord.

Thanks to the randomness of the game, I ended up playing nearly 500 hours on the first Elemental War, I would not be surprised to play Elemental War 2 just as long.

Endless Waves Survival is a simple yet remarkably addicting game. At the price of $1(US) and on sale for 40% off it is very easy on the wallet. It is fun and I do recommend it.

The game automatically shoots for you (up to all 7 spells at once) As you kill enemies, you level up and can improve one of 7 different offensive spells or a spell of shield for defense. You collect coins that can upgrade items (ring of regeneration, bracer of damage, magnet) or buy potions (healing, damage, cooldown,) and more.

The good news:
Inexpensive.
Easy to learn.
Gamepad or Keyboard, the game is very easy to play with either.
Works well on the steamdeck.
Works well on native linux (Mint 20.3 - AMD graphics)
In Early Access (So hopefully "The Bad" will be fixed)

The Bad:
The waves do get monotonous after a while.
The later waves do not seem to get harder at all.
As you max out your spells and items, the game gets easier; to the point that when you are maxed you can let the game run and you will not die. You only need to worry about the occasional centipede and even for that you barely need to move.

UPDATE 7/28/2022: There is a new patch released with significant gameplay changes. There is a new adjustable difficulty selection (EASY/NORMAL/HARD) at the start of a game. There are new spells and items as well as new "attributes." There are also new limitations to what you can select only 5 different items and 5 different auto fire spells. There was even an enemy thief added that steals items left on the ground.

This patch obviously makes the game as a whole more difficult. But it also adds more options to the mix. It also means that despite the low cost, the developer is actually responding to criticism of the game and is willing to support it with needed updates.

With the support and updates, I still recommend the game, but instead of a lackluster, how can you go wrong for only a buck, it has turned into a great value for only a buck. So, grab it while you can.

To sum it up, Glitchangels is a highly addictive twin stick shooter. The retro graphics really shine too giving an old style tv monitor type effects.

However, that is only part of the story. Many elements are unlocked only after you play for a while. For example, there is a goldrush level (indestructible enemies; try to grab all the gold and exit) that only appears after you kill a certain number of enemies. Also a bonus assault level that you try to kill a certain number of enemies in an open room without dying.

Another "feature" is turrets. Turrets appear also after you kill a certain level of enemies. They even start to appear on the first level. This essentially means that the game changes everything after you play it for a while.

After 10 hours of gameplay, I know that I have only scratched the surface and I enjoy the new things as they arrive. Also after that time in game, it can still kill me on the first level. I look forward to the new unlocks.

GLITCHANGELS WORKS GREAT ON THE STEAMDECK!!!

It also works well on a desktop with native linux. (Using Linux Mint 20.x even with an old AMD RX 560.)

I highly recommend it.

Overall, Demoncrawl is a decent minesweeper clone. It adds some various NPCs and chests to the playing field that can bring you items and gold the various items can reveal some things, heal you, or even protect you if you uncover a mine (which is generally a "monster" in this iteration.)

There is a questing element which allows you to complete a series of levels with varying sizes. Between levels you can find shops to sell your useless items or buy different items for gold.

There are a few mechanics that change the game slightly, but overall this game boils down to a minesweeper clone. How much you like the game will depend completely on how much you like minesweeper; and the quests are mainly an endurance test of your love of minesweeper.

Let's face it... $15(US) for a minesweeper clone is far too expensive. I bought it for half off during a sale and even $7.50 is too expensive. The slight changes to the mechanics really do not add much value at all. And if you look at the news feed for this game... there are nearly as many notices to support the game on patreon as there are updates to the game (mostly to add cosmetic garbage for patreon supporters.)

In addition, all the cosmetic content updates add bugs to the game. The last time I posted in the forums its was over 2 months before the game worked again. I have had the game since the Summer sale (9 months ago) and it seems like the game only starts about half the time since then. (tbh, it does not work now and has not for about 2 weeks, and I decided to write a review and uninstall the game forever instead of bothering to make a bug post.) I have seen other people write bugs on the forums, so I know that I am not alone.

I have been running this game on Linux Mint 20.x and it runs ok even on minimal hardware with integrated graphics... provided it is one of the times that the game runs at all.

Between the price, the problems, and the seemingly lack of response on the steam forums, I can not recommend this game at all.

Core Keeper is an interesting mining game that is destined for greatness. I whole-heartily recommend it.

You start with a character customization screen that has multiple cosmetic options. You can also pick a background which gives a mild stat boost and one piece of gear to you to start with. (Or start as a nomad with nothing at all.) You enter into a dark cave that is dimly lit by the core. You need to gather nearby wood to build torches, a wooden pick axe, and a basic workbench. As you explore farther away from the core, you will find copper, tin, iron, and scarlet ores. Each ore can be smelted into bars and will unlock the next workbench which builds the next tier of equipment. Of course each ore has progressively harder mobs around it.

Of course you do not want to starve while underground. There is a variety of plants and mushrooms around; each of which gives a small benefit to you while exploring and fighting. For a better benefit, build a cooking pot to cook any two ingredients together. The cooking pot even has a recipe book that remembers the recipes you tried already (all combinations are valid,) and what the resulting food was.

Creative types will be happy as well. There are multiple walls and flooring to make a base with. Chests, planters, and pedestals to highlight your items that you find, decorative torches, and 8 different paints to color things. If you are so inclined you can spend hours just building the base to your wildest aesthetic desires.

But wait, there's more... Skills are increased by doing... fishing is an option, there are at least 5 bosses to defeat, NPCs to move into your base and trade with, 8 person co-op multiplayer, unique artifacts, and even unique giant plants and mushrooms to find; railway carts, automation, and more. This is available now after less then one month in Early Access. The developer has promised even more content before the EA period is over. All this will likely make Core Keeper one of the classics like Terraria and Stardew Valley.

It runs well under native linux (Mint 20.3) on both a desktop PC and a laptop with only integrated graphics. Currently it is also listed as "verified" for the Steam Deck as well, making this a good game for a wide variety of hardware.

First off, I would not recommend at full price I was able to get it on sale for $4 (60% off) and at that price it is a decent game.

This is a rogue-like in the sense of it is a top-down dungeon crawl through a randomized map. It is devoid of story elements and is little more than a hack 'n slash for leveling up your character. It is easier than most rogue type games and does NOT have perma-death.

You start on the surface in a village. This is a safe zone and you can get a few minor quests from the townsfold to find certain items. You are warned before you enter the cavern that it is a one way trip; every time you go down a staircase it disappears and you can not return. The only way to return is to find special wings in loot that will allow you to fly back to the surface. If you die at the hands of a monster you will be killed, lost forever. (Well, there is no perma-death so you will revive at the surface village; however, anything gained since you entered the cavern will be lost, including experience and levels.) Every 10 levels there is a shop keep that can buy or sell equipment as well as act as a starting point whenever you re-enter the cavern.

There are 8 characters that you can start a game with, each with different starting statistics, (hit points, magic points, attack, defense, and magic.) Every time that you gain a level, you can increase one stat and gain 3 skill points.

The skill points can be spent on a large skill tree to power up your character even more. It is divided into 3 trees Combat(which primarily increases Attack, defense, and crit chance) Magic (which increases Magic, magic points, and you can learn spells) and Treasure (increase potion efficiency, and treasure drop rates.) There are also xp bonuses and hp increases throughout the skill tree.

There is a lot of treasure in the dungeon, much of it (but not all) requires killing a monster to get to it. Treasure includes gold bags and 3 tiers of treasure chests. The low end contains "cursed" gear, up to the high end of powerful artifacts. They also contain, potions, wings and reagents. In this game cursed items work fine, but they turn to dust when you return to the surface. Only gold, potions, and artifacts stay in your inventory when you return to the villiage.

Crafting is also a part of this game. Any 2 reagents can be combined at any time to create a potion. Potions can increase stats temporarily; except for hp and mp which are restored permanently. If you find a forge, you can increase trhe stats of any equipment piece by combining it with2 reagents and spending some magic points.

It is a nice game, the skill tree allows you to alter different builds wildly and it is fun to play. Of course being a hack 'n slsh dungeon crawl, it may get repetitive after a while. I'm still enjoying it though.

For me, the game runs flawlessly using Linux Mint 21. It works well on both a high end gaming PC as well as a lower end Ryzen with integrated vega graphics.

First off, this is a text review of Mosaique Neko Waifus 4. For many, I suspect that "reading" a review will not tell you what you want to know. After all, it is true to the name, and likely if you are interested in Neko Waifus, you will like this games regardless. If that is not enough, I suggest you go and look at the pictures in the screenshots section of Steam's community hub.

For those that are still reading, I am quite shocked that you are still here... and I will continue the review.

This is an actual game, not a Visual Novel. You do not have to deal with useless time consuming stories. This game has 4 different nekos with a total of 32 levels/puzzles. (For those unfamiliar with the term essentially a neko is a cat girl; mostly human like body with cat ears and a tail.) The levels consist of a scrambled picture that needs to be unscrambled by rotating the pieces and sometimes rotating the puzzle board itself. Early puzzles start with a fully clothed catgirl and will progress with skimpier outfits until completely nude. The game insists that all animations depicted are 18 years old and above. Of course, who knows what that means for maturity in a completely fictional race of nekos.

There is a free uncensored DLC available in the US. Due to various laws, I do not know if it is available in other countries.

The game itself is actually enjoyable though it hardly requires the intellect of a Mensa member. (But, those Mensa members could try and play it while waiting for their date to show up.) Its quite easy, even with the more difficult things like mirrored pieces and extra rotations it adds to later puzzles. It is likely that all the puzzles can be solved by anyone with a little time on their hands. There are achievements in this game and it does not require much time to get them all. (I have roughly 6 hours playing the game, and I was at 100% achievements about 2 or 3 weeks ago.)

I do not know why, but I am often asked in a game like this if you can play it one-handed. Unfortunately for me, after a lifetime of being a computer geek, reflexively, one hand is always on the mouse and the other is always on the keyboard. It is hard to fight that instinct so I used my belt to stop it. With that in mind, I can say that it is quite possible to play this game with one hand on the mouse and the other hand below my belt.

Technically, the game is stable and runs fine. It has a native Linux version that I was able to play on two different machines (Linux Mate 20.1) one with an AMD graphics card and the other an nvidia card and I did not have any problems on either.

As for my recommendation... the fact is you probably know if you want this game or not. If you are a perv, than yes, if you are a prude than no... As for the millions of grey shades between the two, only you can answer that for yourself. For $2(US) it is not a lot of money for some mild entertainment.
