My conversion from atheism to catholicism was based on reason first, faith came later.
Contingency argument made me a theist
Historical evidence for the resurrection & universality of Jesus' message made me a christian
Christ giving us a church through St Peter made me a catholic

> An atheist looking only at arguments like God's hiddenness, the problem of evil, ... while ignoring arguments for the existence of God (Contingency argument, Kalam, Fine Tuning, ...) is just as biaised as a fundamentalist christian.

By God's providence I became a doctor on the Feast day of St Luke, our patron saint, may he intercede for me to receive the grace of being a faithful and charitable physician, and to always imitate Jesus Christ in my work.
