A solid 40-hour long adventure in the dark fantasy world filled with great atmosphere, decent writing, tough choices and challenging encounters. You are marooned in Drova, the Land of Legends once inhabited and governed by the Divinities – a powerful nature spirits. Drova is not living its best days at the moment of the game events, and you have to gain trust among one of the powerful factions in this world and eventually decide the fate of the world.

What really works the best for me in the game is exploring. The world actively rewards you for straying away from known paths and I cannot recount how many times I diverged from the actual objectives in order to look for something in the nearest ruins or the forest glade. Also the great art design of the game makes every location memorable and pleasant to behold (well, maybe except the dull swamp, but that might be my Dark Souls trauma, lol).

In the sharp and challenging encounters you have to rely both on your player skills and having a decent equipment which is not that easy to get your hands on early. The skills tree system opens access to the new moves and combat abilities, so make sure to try out different weapons to find something fitting your play style.

The main story of the game is not a revelation in terms of writing and you might find some of the twists (or lack thereof) questionable, but it raises some interesting topics and succeeds in making you emotionally invested in this adventure. There are many really great written side-quests which stay in the memory.

The only thing leaving a room for the improvement is navigation difficulty within certain locations. Sometimes it gets down to pixel hunting to find a hidden path between two cliffs or running around the point of interest in confusion only to find a hidden way in. It rarely contributes to overall experience and feels like stretching the game time.

All in all, it is 9/10. We need more games like this one!
