Ok, so what i've noticed from reading the reviews is that many people seem to have reviewed as a single-player. In this mode, yes, those reviews are mostly accurate. However, take into account a friend or 2 or 3, the game becomes instantly more fun. Yes, there are still boring stages, and it does get to a point where it feels like grinding to unlock the next piece of content, but that's like any rogue-lite. Anyone who's a fan of games like Dark Souls and Binding of Isaac, but has always wanted a multiplayer aspect to them (and also enjoys low-poly games, w hich is a lovely artstyle btw) will enjoy this game.
