As I near 200 hours in this game (still rookie numbers), I figured I should write a review.

I am definitely a city lover, and I love the realism this game provides. I personally prefer turning on unlimited money and going into sandbox mode to let my creativity flow. Pretty soon I have sprawling suburbs and packed cities, all customizable down to the street names.

The workshop and community for this game is also super active, with tons of amazing assets available to increase the realism (or add some sci-fi) of your city.

The mods that are available also greatly enhance the gameplay experience, however make sure you check and see what mods are compatible before subscribing willy-nilly. Also, pro tip: Organize your assets! I don't want you to end up having hundreds of assets strewn about, and having to search through them all to unsubscribe or figure out an issue.

A few gripes: the vanilla traffic AI is a hassle to deal with, so I highly recommend getting TM:PE from the workshop to enhance the vehicle AI. Also, the water physics in this game piss me off, although I don't know if that's because of the game or because I'm bad at estimating water flow.

That being said, I highly recommend this game, and some of the DLCs. However, wait until it is on sale, since the DLCs do add up.
