This game expanded on a lot that the first game didn't have. Somehow they managed to make this game feel a lot like Hotline 1 but managed to also feel like a brand new experience. In my review for the first game, I never talked about how great the story was. Hotline 2 takes place after the events of hotline 1 and I have to say the story in this game was fantastic as well. The story is very confusing at first but I think that was intentional. If you look up the wiki or a story explanation for both games, you can see that the story is actually very fleshed out. I like that some of the questions are never answered and the game leaves it up to the player to interpret certain parts of the story. The gameplay in this game is phenomenal. Variety of enemies was still a big issue for me although in other levels of the game, they improved on that point a lot. Gunplay is still fantastic. I like that while this is a continuation of hotline 1, it still manages to be painfully difficult. If you're just playing this game to play it, it is definitely worth it because the gameplay holds up although you probably won't understand anything that's going on. Even so, you probably won't understand anything that's going on even if you do play the first game. Besides that, I think this game and its previous title are far more than worth it and for the price, the experience is worth every penny. It's also really cheap alongside hotline 1 so getting both games is totally worth it. I give this game a 9.5/10

This game is superb. I like that you have to be somewhat strategic and you can't just fly by the levels easily. The music fits very well and I think that the soundtrack is a big part of what makes this game great. The only thing I didn't really like was enemy variety. I felt like it was a bit lacking in this title but it made up for it with the very satisfying gunplay. Melee was actually a blast for me as well because baiting enemies, using doors, and doing finishers all felt really fluid. The sound effects were amazing and that also adds a lot to the satisfying gunplay. Overall, this game was amazing and if you haven't played it you need to. Very cheap on sale and very worth your time and money. 9/10

This game is so good. Seriously. Get this game. The combat is super satisfying, the soundtrack is amazing, and it's a really great experience. I want to focus on the campaign more because I feel like that's what most people buy doom for. The campaign kicks ass. The upgrade system is amazing and you really feel like you're getting stronger when you upgrade a gun and its mods. I like the praetor suit and its upgrades. Though I wish there was a bit more to it, I honestly thought that it was still great. The overall atmosphere of this game is incredible. Very dark and ambient. Going to hell for the first time was such a great experience and I feel like if hell is a real place, then that's probably what it would look like. The team did an amazing job on the level design and I feel like they really captured that hellish vibe. I finished the campaign and went for another go because I wanted to try out some of the other mods for the guns. Very fun game that I'm in love with. The multiplayer is ok but it feels like your generic multiplayer mode for any fps. Snapmaps were pretty fun and I thought that some of the map ideas players had were great. Overall, a really great game for anyone who wants to kill lots of things.

I give this game a 9.5/10. Can't wait for the sequel.

Game is fun with a lot of diverse communities and great gameplay. Only real problem I have with this game is that it's really hard to play with your friends when you just want to play by yourselves. You always resort to going to a server and playing there. Also the game is prone to getting ddosed so if you're trying to play regularly and someone does that you will get knocked off and have to join back later.

I give this game a 6.5/10. Pretty fun by yourself but a lot better if you actively participate in a community.

I can't stress how much I want this game to do good. I love this game and playing it with friends is so much fun. This game is mostly about survival but the spooky ambience made me feel scared for my life at some points (in the game of course). Going down dark caves with friends is so much fun and getting new equipment to explore better is great. I really wish that the caves had a lot more to explore though. Sometimes it's just a useless cache of equipment, other times it's a cave full of goodies. Overall, this game is great and I greatly wish for this game to get better in the future because it has a lot of potential.

A great game. The original Dead Rising was a great experience and coming into this one you might have the same experience or better. What I really like about this game is the combo weapon system and the vast exploration. The combo weapon system was great because you could combine two objects to make a weapon that varied depending on which objects were combined. This opened up a huge door of gameplay potential because boss fights were really hard if you didn't have some sort of gun/combo weapon. Overall usage of the weapons felt great and I thought while some of the weapons felt glitchy and unusable, the core of combining two weapons stayed so you weren't locked into only using one weapon. The story is pretty good and I thought that the they really made Chuck seem like a cool guy that only wanted to protect his daughter. I think they did great with this title and if they come back to what this game and the previous game were about, then I think that we can see some way better games in the future.

I thought this game was great. All the problems that people are saying that they are having I haven't had at all. Game works fine. I thought the gameplay was a lot of fun. While dying in this game kind of sets you back for upgrades on your weapons, it still seemed really fun and I found myself in a lot of moments where I had to scrape by with the guns that I had to kill Big Daddies and save the little sisters. Even though upgrades are sort of hard to get sometimes, you still have plenty of chances to make money so you can enhance your guns. The upgrade system is somewhat flawed but what I really want to talk about is the eve upgrade system. The eve upgrades were great and the plasmids opened up a lot of gameplay opportunities that made using them really fun. I think the atmosphere of this game is absolutely stunning. The visuals and the overall ambience is incredible. I thought 2K did an amazing job with this game and I'm looking forward to what they can make in the future.

I give this game a 9/10.

A beautiful game that deserves to be praised. I found myself not actually playing the game but looking at all the scenery and riding the big fish that carries you around. The music in this game is absolutely amazing and I think they did a great job on this game overall. My only concern is that the game is way too short.
