There's nothing to say it's one of the best rouge-like games out there. The gameplay is simple to understand. The difficulty is just right. You are always progressing even if you get bad boons. You could play one run to pass the time or 50 runs just for the heck of it. The best part is that you can feel yourself getting better as you play the game.

On top of that, the game has a great narrative and art style. Nothing terrible to say.

There are games where you figure it out and you're like "Oh that's it!"
But then there are games like No Man's Sky where you're like "That's it?..."

Don't get me wrong... I enjoyed No Man's Sky. I enjoyed jumping from solar system to system and encountering the huge alien eye to some random portal that sends me to a random place in space. I enjoyed mining and gathering resources. I enjoyed looking for frigates and new ships. It's like walking down a theme park where you can do all the fun things like derelict frigates, and settlements, looking out for new ships, trading, recovering crashed ships, and looting frigates that crashed into the planets. You can also explore the sea and cave system. Its also really fun when your playing with your friends.

My immersion kinda went out the window. When I realized that earning units and nanites can be cheesed. That playing "advanced" no man sky is just exploiting the game system. And then there's the story which was interesting and the lore is super interesting with ARG but then the ending comes out and it feels like a cop-out. I also realized how similar the planets are even with the new update. The activities in games are fun but there is no depth in all of them. Sure you can make a settlement but it's all just rudimentary management, you can explore a derelict frigate but then it's the same thing over and over again, you can explore planets but they almost look the same thing, you can try and observe the animals but you realize they're just walking around doing nothing. I loved the time I had with No Man's Sky it's great when you play it with rose-tinted glasses with all the hype surrounding it. And yes it has come a long way when I first bought it. But the same thing that made me quit then is still the same thing that made me stop playing the game now.

In conclusion, the game ain't for me. And I find it hard to recommend. But hey it's still the best space exploration game in the market right now.

Something to waste time on, you can exit anytime in a mission which is a good thing. Relaxing killing Aliens. Just log in have fun do some mission one by one and play it casually. Actually a good time just to forget about everything.

Probably more fun with a squad but I'm forever solo in this game(I don't have friends)
