Just so much better than the sad excuse of a first game, in almost every regard.
Hugely replayable, crazy amounts of stuff to unlock, even more stuff to interact with or puzzle out or kill / get killed by.
Combat feels great, and customization gives you a sense of choice and purpose.
There really aren't a lot of games that get it right these days, but Remnant II is one of those games that will keep you coming back.

update: they're lucky this game is addicting af because the DLC turned this game into random crashes with no warning-city

Devs talked MAD ♥♥♥♥ about other games and studios releasing in an unplayable state at launch.
Then they launched their game in an unplayable state.
Multiplayer does NOT work, and the "patch" they released about it only fixes it for SOME people.
(assuming you have another entire 80gb free to even attempt to download the patch in the first place)

Water Mechanic is the EXACT OPPOSITE of everything they claim to stand for. Yes, water is easy to get. Yes, you can stockpile a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of it. NO, NOT EVERYONE HAS TIME TO CONSTANTLY DEVOTE TO YOUR DUMBASS IDEALS. "Play the game regularly or get punished" is a sloppy, ugly move that definitely shouldn't have made it past the brainstorming phase.

If you manage to actually play, you'll find out quickly that in this STEALTH BASED GAME enemies will spawn and despawn AT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RANDOM, without giving a ♥♥♥♥ where the player is when they do it. meaning you can have baddies literally spawn on top of you and put an end to an otherwise decent run without you being able to react or prevent it.


it's very clear that whatever "testing" they did was limited and didn't actually take into account major things like CONNECTING WITH FRIENDS or BEING ABLE TO SURVIVE RNG ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Skip this one, wait until they figure out their netcode, wait until it's been patched and optimized a few (dozen) more times.
right now you'd be paying 30$ for the game to brick itself and softlock you out of being able to update any of your other games.

Lost in Early Access Hell.
another game that's given entirely too much consideration to competition and discord instead of what is actually fun
nothing has been done about the cheating problem that plagues the game, and the sweats absolutely RUIN this game (I know, I was one of them)

Two years later and honestly can't claim to see any actual improvement as far as the fun factor

look maybe i'm just really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad at tac shooters but I honestly will never understand how they take out everything that makes a shooter fun, punish you for playing like you would in any other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ video game ever, and then bombard you with constant harassment for exorbitant amounts of money.
if you see me playing this, it's to appease friends I enjoy enough that it doesnt matter what piece of ♥♥♥♥ we're playin cuz its still game time with the lads.
but nah, this aint what a video game should look like. I honestly pity the people who enjoy this type of monotony.

There's a lot I don't love, but I've been gaming since i was tiny and am probably super jaded.
There's a lot more I DO love, so you get a thumbs up.

I firmly believe reviews for this game are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pointless. It speaks for itself, and it's not like you don't know what you're signing up for by now.

every update has made the game better and better.

I get buyer's remorse about damn near everything.
Not this time.
It's barely a skeleton at this point but hot damn, what a gorgeous looking and flat out interesting skeleton.

The Dev is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sweetheart, super responsive, and churning out content that AAA studious would ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cream for.
Usually with early access it's always kind of a crapshoot, but even if this never sees the light of day I've more than justified my purchase with how much fun I've had with what's already there.

If you're on the fence here, trust your gut and go ahead and get a copy. You won't regret it.

What more do you even need? You can do whatever the ♥♥♥♥ you want with this, and do it with your friends.
How is it not already in your library?

Honestly the HARDEST part of this game is getting to play it consistently.
Matchmaking is total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crapshoot and if you actually have enough friends who are hardcore enough for this I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ envy you.

great game. great story. prepare to die.
