Started playing this game on 12/26/2021, and it was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess to say the least. However, even when it first came out it wasn't unplayable most of the time, had good characters, and had evident passion in it, even if the issues blocked a lot of it.
However, coming back to this game over time was a blast, seeing the changes and playing new missions felt awesome.
Now, on 01/02/2024 I am finally done with everything in the game and it was definitely a game of all time...

The DLC added a good bit of content and story, wish it had a more definitive end, but like all but one of the endings to this game, you get to choose between what is best for the characters and what is right for the characters. If that makes sense. Didn't add a better ending than "The Star" ending tho

I do not know if I have ever played anything quite like this game, nor do I think I will ever play something with the same impact on me.
It's weird to say that this game has genuinely changed a little about how I see things, which is parasocial and weird asf, but true. I think I can look at death differently now, and take life with a new approach. Not drastically mind you, but the lessons "learned" within the game definitely have real meaning to them.

You can judge me if you like, I can be wrong, however just play the game for yourself if you haven't and see how it goes. At bare minimum you should have a fun ass time playing an amazing game with great story, characters, and combat (now). At most though you could gain anything you are hoping to from the game.

This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fantastic, I wish I would have played so long ago when I first saw it
I could play again and again, and I am not even to the hard/fun bits yet

Edit 100 hours later : This game continues to be excellent, the DLC only added more content, bosses, and challenges, making it a must buy! I have beat the game with most characters on Monsoon, and have unlocked most achievements, hunting the last few has taken quite a while and will still take a while longer, but it hasn't stopped being a blast to enjoy!

Edit 100 hours past that (oddly enough on the hour both time without meaning to be) : I still hold that this game is amazing and needs to be played by anyone even slightly interested. I have all achievements at this point (imagine if I didn't) and honestly liked the most recent DLC once things were fixed. The main game is 100% worth buying, especially if on sale, the first DLC is 80% worth buying, and the second DLC I would suggest buying only on a good sale. Its worth adding but not needed. 10/10 game
