Not make by frictional games. if you are expecting a game of the same quality as amnesia the dark descent, play SOMA. This game is not worth a penny.

Being a fan of horror games i couldnt resist playing outlast 2 after enjoying the first one so much, especially since it was a quality game. I cant say the same for this one. It genuinely felt that the game was left unfinished. Maybe a better way to word it would be as follows: it tried to do too much. The game is split between two stories. One of them was not nearly as good as the other and kept ruining the pacing of the main story of the game. Moments that were perfect for building tension were wasted. All of the 'running scenes' were pretty awfully scripted. I constantly found myself dying over and over to the same thing, wondering if the game was bugged or genuinely meant to be played out in that manner.

Despite all this, it wasn't an awful game. There are a few good scares in there. If you're curious about it, maybe buy it on sale. There are some really bad horror games out there, and this isn't one of them. Little enjoyment will be had in only playing half of this game, so unless you intend to really give it a go till the end, don't waste your money and buy the first one instead.
