I was thinking about writing a positive review, but it's astonishing that after 8 YEARS since release, this game still has many bugs that never got fixed, but they released 2 DLCs anyway. Starting from ridiculous behavior of carts, campaign events not hapening in correct order, achievement for buying something that is free, to things like a missing button on other user's highscore table, that makes it impossible for you to go back and you need to ALT+F4 the game. Seriously?
Also the fact that it looks like the players on the weekly challange score list are cheaters who know exactly where the oil is and when will be the best time to sell it. I watched a replay of a few of them, and they all used sonar exactly where the oil was with 100% accuracy. The use of it is only a show for other players. They also don't sell when the price is not top of the year. What's the point of top scores then.

Good first part in good series. Extra levels were super boring though.

Game is similar to Hotline Miami. except:
- worse graphics with worse style
- worse music
- worse level design
- worse backstory
- worse gameplay
- more bugs
- less weapons
I got bored with it. I expected some ernergic top down wild west shooter, not small levels, with useless cutscnes and no challange.

I can't believe how this game is working... It's impossible to find any server with no files to download. Even servers that seem to be hosting vanilla maps require you to download dozens of megabytes of random files, when you don't even know what is inside of them as they are binary.
What the hell stops someone from hosting a server with malicious downloads?? There doesn't seem to even be any whitelist for URLs, WTF!

After you download some files the game menu changes to some mod that you didn't even give permission to be installed. It's crazy.

It's a cool sequel, but it could have more maps and be more focused on anything else besides these damn, irritating gravity fields. It's also a shame the waves of drones don't change with time.
Beginning of each level is almost always the hardest and then it gets easier.

I remember when I first played this game, it looked like it had potential. I played it for a while, but the world is extremely empty - and I'm not talking about expected emptiness, but simply not much content - but it had lots of cars turned upside down and honking. I stopped playing it and now after long time I returned. I tried playing again. In the beginning instead of getting car parts I immediately entered the car and game ends there..... You can't get out. I restarted, but then mouse cursor was locked and I couldn't look around. I restarted game again and the same thing. Cursor in menu works.

This game is too buggy and empty to be treated as a finished game.

Overall it's a good game, fun to play. It has it's downsides though.
Atmosphere from first part of the game is partially gone with all the shiny stuff, awful trader-pod design, flying colorful particles
Devs are really, really weird, they had to do lots of work on this game and then.... like they disappeared and didn't care about most basic stuff, cosmetic items visually bugged for years and still not fixed, bad menu design - like did they even check their own game out? it smells like they bought the game, published it and forgot, even though game is getting some seasonal updates, nice new monsters skins and more bugged cosmetic items, that they couldn't bother checkin once, if they display properly

THE WORST ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ REMAKE ANYONE COULD EVER MAKE.

God ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ damned, I'm pissed. For how bad console casual crap this is and how many positive reviews it gets. Who the ♥♥♥♥ likes it?? Some kids, who never grew up on original? They start it and think "nice, cool graphics, similar game to Uncharted and new Lara Croft! I LOVE CUTSCENES <3 <3 <3!".

Main character is terrible. You are literally taking classic cult game and changing it's character on some idiot who throws weak jokes all the time. Did you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ see original character crack jokes around, when monsters were attacking him??? Was original character a joker??? You are a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke devs! New game is full of commentary from him "hehe I hope you don't need that sword that killed you, I need it more, hehe he hehehehehe.", "oh monsters, heheh I hope you have eaten already hehe hehe". He also looks ♥♥♥♥.

They changed Diego on another idiot who pretends to be funny and behaves like a musketeer from cheap movies.

There is no mouse support in menu. This tells you how much PC players mean to them. It's designed to milk console casuals. You can't even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ see main menu without this crap "press E to start".

You choose dialogues like in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ADVENTURE casual games. They show around circle in the middle of screen and you can't even simply choose one, because it's prepared for consoles, you need to first select it and then confirm. Beause console peasants could accidentally move analog to the side.

Character is on the left side of screen, like in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ console adventure games.

They said teaser is 1 hour long. I couldn't withstand that long.

I have to change my review to negative, because multiplayer in this game is the most frustrating I've ever seen in a game. It could be good if you happen to play with few intelligent people, which is very rare.

Remember when you used to play Minecraft, spent lots of time to build beatiful base and then some griefer appeared and started more or less slowly destroying it? Mindustry upgrades that feature! Griefers destroy 100 times as fast as it happened in Minecraft!!! If you have the luck to actually see them destroying everything you worked on, you start screaming BLOODY GRIEFER!!! KICK HIM! You start vote kick.... And then nothing happens, because you are playing with Chinese and Russian who don't understand a word.
But that's not always the case, some people speak English. But then you realise you need 3 people in SAME TEAM to vote kick anyone. But you are only 2 plus 1 griefer... Look peacfully how whole base goes to hell.
What's worse vote kick is barely visible, it appears in chat window and you actually have to write text command to vote... I hope author finally makes it separate window and voting with F1, F2.

Now what happens when you don't actually have a griefer on team? Over 50% chance that you are playing with some children that have no idea how to play, but they jumped into multiplyer anyway. Not only they don't help you, but use all available resources on useless upgrades of drills you don't even need, but they will go to 0 graphite or silicon and keep it at that level forever. Or immediately after joining they will start to make tier 3 or higher bots, using all resources available, because they want to rush now. Worst scenario they stop your base from expanding and you lose. In better scenario they manage to rush, destroy core and game ends... What a fun...

Some will start destroying what you built, because they have some other idea about buildings positioning, not even better, just theirs. They will not contribute a single thing to you base expansion, but they will make sure everything is made the way they want it and don't you dare try stopping them. They will spend all the time making it their way.

Multiplayer aside, single player is not bad, but maps are awful and it's hard to like ANY of them. Ugly, randomly generated with no scenario. It looks like there is not even 1 hand crafted map in the game.

I like how author is still developing the game, but he really needs to focus on different things.

TL;DR game abondoned by devs

At first I was really happy to see it here on Steam, as I remember playing it on Kongregate. The game is fun at first, but very soon you will realize there is very limited content. There are few maps and scenarios. You could keep playing, trying to get better gear, but how many times can you repeat the same scenarios? It gets boring really fast, especially that maps are not that good.

It's free and technically just for that it could get positive review, but devs uploaded this game here and NOT EVEN ONCE updated it since 2017, while they keep selling stuff for real money, the game has automated item sales and "events", while nothing really changes.
