I didn't really find the game had a particularly strong plot hook, but what I've played so far I've had a lot of fun especially in early game, when I got my first legendary, and in endgame. During the "mid game" it can feel a bit stale, but you kinda just have to push through untill it's more fun.

Quick tips!!!!!!!
Keep the world tier low, you get the same amount of XP, no matter the world tier, I personally played through on World Tier 4, even though I had world tier 7 unlocked.
You need to play aggressive, if you play aggressive, you heal, and if you heal, you don't die, simple enough.
If you're struggling, take a quick look at your current armour, and weapon mods, make sure they work well with your current Skills.
Try to focus on Class Points that'll directly impact your stats when levellingm focus on things such as damage (firepower, not anamoly), defense and health. It'll make levelling a much more enjoyable experience.
Pick up all Sidequests when you're doing the campaign, and them complete them once you finish the campaign in reverse order, to level your character and World Tier.
When you do level your world tier, do not pick up the rewards for getting World Tier 5 and above, and instead wait untill you're level 30 with a high world tier, before picking them up, as they will grant better stats to your weapons.
If you no longer use a legendary weapon because the level has made it useless, dismantle it to add the perks of it to your Mod pool.
Sell all gear Green and Below and dismantle everything Blue and Above, once you unlock all the tier 1 mods from blues, you can start selling those too, and then do the same with epics.

This game has an amazing sense of progression. Even if it mostly is just a farming game, getting something that was previously hard to get by, into an automated system that runs at 100% effeciency, and then using this new material to progress even further, is so wonderfully done

Also Lizard Doggo and Logistics are the best parts of this game, just buy it already
