The character creator demo was great! I loved the possibilities! But I really hope they are adding more features to it. I would love to see representation like in Cyberpunk with tattoos, piercings, maybe even wheelchairies and prosthetics.

But at a bare minimum, there was NO hairstyles close to mine. There was no beard styles close to mine. I couldn't get the eyebrow structure or face structure right. These really affect how you can shape a character. The eyes in particular are the key thing to get a face to look right, and I found the eyes in this game are super rigid and unable to move them with the handles to get the right shape.

If the game is going to leave the face points the same, then they better add a lot more accessories and items so you can make a realistic character based on their signature items if the face isn't right.

Additionally, there were severely lacking options for moles and facial details. I think their focus is probably on game play att his point but I hope they focus on the editor as well.

WAY better than Persona 4 Golden. That was my first entry into the series and I almost HATED Persona because of that game but I took a chance and 5 is leaps and bounds better. Story is interesting, characters make sense for the most part instead of acting erratically, and the gameplay is FUN and you can choose to play on easy or hard mode. You can also control the party members which is another plus.

Overall, LOVING this game, I keep thinking about it when I'm not playing it and anticipating when I can play it again.

WOW embarassing and deceptive and misleading GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!! It doesnt lock on to enemies and the main guy runs like a snail.

Boring af and some weird man with a deep voice shouts at you at the end of each level and scares you. Not fun at all. If this is what it is like to Be Jeweled, I would rather not. Embarrassing.

Steam support is HORRIBLE and wont provide a refund for this game!!! I thought I had sent a refund previously but I'm not sure... but with only 2 hours in the game they refused a refund. Disgusting!

To save everyone else from this experience, DONT buy this game. It is BORING and misleading. THe product page makes it seeem like there are thousands of cultures to choose from but this is misleading to some system in the game because there are only like 6 civilizations to choose from. Then whats left is just a less fun Civilization game and the "story" elements are useless and not well developed.

And Steam support won't help you! They are fine with people outright lyiing about their game since it generates them money. Disgraceful

The game is amazing. Don't listen to childish reviews. This game is literally GOTY hands-down if you like fantasy, action, roleplaying games.

The combat is smooth and FUN I rarely run from battles because each experience is fun. There isn't a lot of moves, so I would expect it to get boring, but it is so intriguing.

The story is interesting and all of the systems of the game mold together in a way that is completely divine. The graphics are outstanding, and with modders already working on the game (including the complaints from others regarding my "initial review" below, you are ready for a game that pulls you in completely and immerses you, an experience I haven't felt since Cyberpunk 2077, and Skyrim before that.

The characters, pawns, are such a unique and interesting idea, and I love the feature. The music is incredible as well as the sound design. There are some repetitive voice lines which is the only real turnoff, and I'm sure some AI modders can already be at work on a voice expansion.

Overall, this is the game I have waited for almost 10 years and it completely lives up to and exceeds the hype, despite what some initial reviewers say, see below.

I hate "Reddit IGN gamers". Toxic people who wax philosophical and throw a temper tantrum and hive-mind "review bomb" new games. Thanks to idiots like you, I wouldn't be surprised if Steam removed reviews completely. And I wouldn't be upset if they did. It's ridiculous.

People are attacking this game because there's supposedly microtransactions.... Well guess what so is every other game, and in this case, they are optional and not required.

To avoid microtransactions you could
1. Make a character and stick with it and not want to change its race midway through the story which makes no sense in the concept of the story
2. Earn the required RC in game, which is very easy to do but oh it takes some time and modern gamers can't be bothered to actually spend time enjoying a game they want everything handed to them
3. Buy the deluxe edition which gives you a free coupon to change your character once which is all you should ever need.
4. You could make do with the character changing which is built into the game and fully functional with in-game gold that you get from playing the game, doing quests, and selling items, but is tied into the game in a way that makes sense... you cannot change your characters race willy nilly or completely adjust the way they look beyond their hairstyle and facial style. Just like 99% of other games that don't even allow you to pay to do it.

To everyone voting this game to make some sort of statement to a developer that doesn't even push aggressive micro transactions, I hope you step on a bee and release your indie game the same day EA releases 10 other games, and I hope Santa brings you coal in your stocking. Get a life!

I am not on a strong computer, but maybe people don't know how to build their own computers. I am on a Ryzen 5 and an RTX 3070 and the game runs on maximum everything with only a few drops occassionally. Otherwise I have had no glitches other than a few NPCs bumping into each other while they pathfind themselves and that's not really a glitch.

Possibly the best character creator of all games. You can look for some examples all over of what people are able to create here and it is amazing and very intuitive and easy to make something or someone. I really like that Capcom released the character creator early so that we could have our characters ready to play for the game when it comes out.

I am very excited for the full game release and will update this with initial thoughts as soon as it does!

I can't believe I never left a review of this game. I feel like I must have but I guess I didn't. With the oncoming announcement and release of Dragon's Dogma II I went back to replay this game and I have to leave a review.

Dragon's Dogma is one of my favorite games ever. It is in incredible game that should have been way more popular than it was but for some reason it was a cult classic. Those who know know, you know.

The combat is spectacular, imagine fighting really strong enemies, with a party, being able to climb on the enemies and do even more damage. You can be really any kind of character you want, a dual blader theif kind of person or a warrior, cleric, mage, and then once you level up you can pull in aspects of whatever other classes you like.

The story is interesting although a little slow-paced in the start, but its built that way so you interact with the world and level up before continuing. The game is punishing to those who fail to prepare. You should sleep in an inn or campfire before heading out on a journey. And you should have a party with you and not go alone.

The world-building is incredible and you easily feel immersed in this unique and gritty fantasy world. There is a sense of progression with all the moves as you level them up and get stronger, enhance your weapons and armors etc.

I can't gush enough over this game. You do not need to play this one to play Dragon's Dogma II when it comes out. It has been confirmed by the developers. Dragon's Dogma II will probably be the better game, due to upgraded graphics and better fluid controls but this game is definitely worth a play if you love good games and action RPGs.

I love this game already after only playing for a little bit. It is a combination of some really cool games. I'd say its Pokemon Arcaeus + Zelda Breath of the Wild + Ark + Fortnite + Valheim.

Even more I bought this game to support the notion that besides Arcaeus, which had a lot of flaws, Nintendo failed to innovate on Pokemon games for years and I am sick of the same lame games each couple years, sold in a two-pack, that don't have every Pokemon included, have hideous graphics but still manage to run horribly, the same boring battle system with phoned in animations, watered down story, boring protagonists, and lame villians.

Palworld is a lot more than Pokemon with guns, it has surprising deep gameplay and cute characters. I don't care if they used AI or not and neither should anyone else, who cares. What matters is we finally got a great "Pokemon" game and surprisingly it isn't from Nintendo. The Palmon are completely and utterly distinct from Pokemon as well and it is a a breath of fresh air.

The game is in Early Access but is surprisingly well polished, but there are definitely a few bugs. Their developer team is talented and seems to be extremely interested in player feedback which means the future will be great for Palworld and I am more than happy to assist this developer in creating the de-factor Pokemon-style PC game!

Good game - a little rough on the edges but I'm sure developer is working hard to resolve any issues. Graphics are great and the building is fun. Valheim could never.
