I had a delightful time playing this! The premise is really unique, the music absolutely SLAPS (get this on Spotify ASAP guys), and it's just the right amount of challenging (except for the level Cold Blood which can go ♥♥♥♥ itself). I loved all the documentary missions with the Richard Attenborough-esque narration; I actually learned a lil something playing this! The story goes to some pretty wild places and it was always a treat to see what would happen next.

There's a wealth of replayability at hand with New Game+, an array of challenges, and bonus levels. I don't know if it's the kinda game where I'd 100% everything personally, but it's absolutely worth whatever money you decide to pay for it if you're looking for a fun twist on the RTS genre.

The gameplay can get a little samey, but that doesn't stop me from returning to it every few years. Close to 20 years on the modding community is THRIVING and doing wonders to keep this game alive.

Too many fantastic things have already been said about CoH so why bother repeating it all. I do wanna give a special shout out to the sound design, though. Most RTS games have a very distant feeling towards them, with the battle sounds feeling far away - this makes sense. But CoH's sound design is like I'm playing a FPS. It's so loud and intense, it really makes for a super fun experience. I love it.

An absolute RTS classic - one of my all time favs. I put countless hours into this when I was younger and it's still just as good now as it was then.

Rise of Nations is the insane mixture of Age of Empires and Civilization. It keeps all the best parts and makes it more challenging. In Civ you have all the time in the world to decide your strategy since it's turn-based. Here, you really gotta think quick. Fantastic RTS that I somehow missed growing up.

Boring, blocky controls, and extremely repetitive. The combat is cool for a while, but I couldn't even bring myself to finish it.
