I can't tell you how many times people's ships of each other's characters ended up being rivalries instead.

Went to startup the game one day, hit the ol' launch button and then... nothing. C1 Initialization error it told me. Yeah okay cool, so i go through the usual routine with this stuff, y'know. I try to launch again, same thing. I try reinstalling, same thing.
Now, its when i start looking online that i find an odd little thing about this.
It starts with some whacky forums with the boys. Sweet, somebody else got this problem too and complained on a forum, this games been around for a while im sure someone larger and in charger than us answered this years ago and sure enough some tech support is there and trying to help, but they seem to give answers to some other different launch bug. Of course, it doesnt work, but then
~silence~
every single forum is barren of any response to this mythical C1 error, professional or not. So i check youtube.
The same. exact. thing. Loads of answers on C12 or C11 or low resolution; everything but the kitchen sink and that mysterious little C1. I even checked with tech support myself, and got pretty much the same routine everyone else seems to have recieved.
Really, it just feels more like I've stumbled into some sort of secret that EA doesnt like to let out or some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like that and granted, I've only chatted with tech support a few hours ago so that might need more time, but I was hoping to have this out here as some sort of warning or just a way of showing someone out there that encountered the same exact journey to know that theyre not alone.

And also I've dumped three whole ass days into this game, bit of a bummer.

P.S. Please boys, if any of you have found it or I am blind to some obvious answer, then please assist this troubled little gamer.

Update: After trying a ton of different tactics a ton of different ways, I finally trial-and-error'd an answer.
The game continued to run normally after downloading it straight from the host website.
I'm not going to make any kind of conclusion since it'd all be speculation, so, do with that info whatever you will. But its all good now.

Great game, pretty workable even in early access. Good updates every day so far. At the current level of content though id gauge it at a $20 buy.
