It does a good job at environmental storytelling. Unfortunately a lot of that was lost on me since I haven't experienced a lot of those things and only really picked up on that from watching streamers/lets players playing and commenting on it.

Other than that, it's a pretty easy going and charming little game. Technically it is a puzzle game, but it's a very freeform kind of puzzle game. There's no one correct solution, so if you're worried about that, don't be. Heck, the game even has a cheevo for unpacking everything completely wrong which makes for quite a different experience.

I used to have a friend named Sarah, I remember one time she said that she had such crippling social anxiety that when she went shopping at the supermarket she was terrified of asking the employees for help finding her groceries. This game reminds me of that.

JAG, if you're out there somewhere, and you ever read this, I hope you're doing okay, and I'm sorry for trying to take advantage of you that one time.

BPD dating simulator.

The writing could be better, but it's not terrible. It's fairly short, whether this is a pro or con is up to you.

This is more of a maybe recommendation than a hard yes.

It's a decent first effort, and it's hard to complain when it's so short and free. You're not paying anything and you're not wasting a lot of time if you don't like it.

An excellent casual puzzle game with cute and charming characters. Short and sweet, doesn't overstay it's welcome. Is pretty intuitive and not needlessly esoteric or obtuse.

Here's hoping Mr. Esposito and his crew make more like this in the future.

The level design of the dlc is so much better than the base game. Also provides a good challenge for people who've already beaten the base game without ever becoming too hard. Did you savescum to beat the last two episodes of the base game? You won't be doing that here.

This is a really lovely game but I would've liked it way more if it was more sim-y and less puzzle-y.

As an srpg vetern whose first game in the genre was the original FFT, and whose list includes things like FFTA1, a couple SRW games, FM3&4, the original TO (ps1 port), Kamidori, FE8, Disgaea 1&2 plus various other NIS titles, Voidspire and Alvora Tactics, and various other games that are srpg adjacent like Blades of Exile and the 3 Shadowrun crpgs by HBS, and also probably at least a few games that I'm forgetting, I have certain standards when it comes to these things. This game just doesn't really meet those expectations. Frankly, it needs a ton more polish and development. The writing is also not especially great either.

tl;dr: it's not great, this is the kinda game I would only recommend to young children.

Forgot to include Underwater Ray Romano. I knew I was forgetting a game or two.

Add Bahamut Lagoon to that list.

Sweeney Todd the videogame.

I would've preferred if it was more streamlined and automated and more sim-y instead of beng so micro intensive, but other than that I really liked it. Like, I just wish I could queue up actions. I hate seeing my guys standing around and not being efficient. Oh, and there was no audio during cutscenes for some strange reason. Oh well.

Also holy f*ck that talking plant is f*cking hilarious.

Powerwash Sim but with an environmentalist bend to it.

I like it, and it has potential, but it's a bit rough around the edges. I also beat it WAY before I unlocked the last upgrade, and that was with repeating the stages a lot of times too.
