It's not L4D3, but it scratches the itch. A few things are even improved over L4D. "Versus" mode feels better balanced by allowing both sides to choose their upgrades. In campaign, though, I find myself just picking balanced upgrades to health, stamina, ammo over anything specialized. The difficulty curve is a little ridiculous, no point in raising it unless you've got a team of experts together, but "Recruit" with pubs can be easily carried.
