I really like this game but you are just doing nothing but walk across the landscape determining whether or not the next encounter is winnable and worth the experience or if you're just going to get stomped trying. My memories are either of that or putting Trump's fence to shame building thick walls spanning the huge perimeter of my base, just for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to decide a tiny gap means they can go all inconporeal on my ass and pass through the wall.

You can't zoom in. Everyone has to see the whole map that happens to be a picture of your hairy ass on screen the entire time.

A friend of mine tried shooting bazookas into the sky above them and tried to get them to land on enemy worms from above, he would also have to account for wind. After we all did this we concluded that it's the best way to play the game.

Kill yourself fast. Online multiplayer co-op mod exists for this game as well, so you can all have fun passing on.
