Early Access Review
A Borderlands-inspired roguelike FPS. Lots of fun.

One of the best games I've played in a long time. Great writing, fun gunplay. I'd recommend keeping a controller plugged in to switch to when you have to drive.

Ran in to a few minor physics or graphics bugs, not any worse than you what you what see in most open world games. No crashes.

Very demanding though. Even at low settings at 1440p, I average about 70 FPS and it does dip to as low as 45 in some areas. This is a Desktop with 1080ti/3600X/16GB RAM.

It's pretty fun. Story sucks though.

It's 'OK'. Decent for an RPGMaker game. Its just not something that is good enough for me to spend my time with it.

Early Access Review
Excellent Rogue-lite deckbuilder with a focus on actual story. One of the top reviews right now argues that the RPG elements take away from the roguelike elements since when you've seen the quests, all you have is the core mechanics which are not as strong as slay the spire. I don't disagree but I would also say that the rogue-like elements do add to the RPG elements. In a lot of RPGs, you are often given choices but since most people do not play 30+ hour campaigns over and over, you will probably not see all the results of the different possibilities. In Griftlands, the rogue-like style procedural generation and the 4-5 hour campaign length encourages the player to play over and over and actually experience all the choices that the developers make available.

And it's still in Early Access! I remember buying Don't Starve(same developer) back when early access wasn't even really "a thing" yet. I would put a lot of trust in Klei to really improve this already excellent game before it is "released"(not sure if that even means anything nowadays). That being said, I did notice some bugs for example using a controller can be a little bit flaky.

Overall, a very good game. Is very easy in the beginning and only gets to a interesting-but-not-difficult level of difficulty by the end. It's a game you play for the narration, not the puzzles.

Very short. The entire 20 levels of arcade mode plus the open world adventure mode can be beat in under an hour. However, it's pretty fun and there is much worse ways to spend 99 cents.
