215 hours in this game, over 3000 in Path of Exile 1. What Jonathan and team has done to this game is criminal and that they sacrificed Path of Exile 1 for this steaming turd just makes it all the more offensive. If you like repeatedly punching yourself in the face for a souls-like game but without any ability to progress, functional mechanics, or sense of accomplishment or learning, Path of Exile 2 is great for you. Otherwise, I'm not sure who this is for, but it's certainly not one for ARPG enjoyers, theorycrafters, gamblers, sweatlords or normal game playing human beings. We never knew how good we had it with Chris until now. Wow. What an incredible, tragic, and sudden demise of the franchise.

This isn't one of those "how did this escape QA" rants because the most recent patch is just a bit overtuned. The game is fundamentally broken. I get that it's still in EA (admittedly in a state where you have to PAY to beta test a free-to-play game), but this is all the data you need that GGG's leadership is rotten to the core and has no idea what they're doing anymore. It was a good franchise while it lasted.

UPDATE: 12 hours and several patches later, game is still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Progression is more possible but still super grindy and forgettable without rewards.
