Imagine making a subscription-based service for a 10 year old game. Atrocious.

With sunken heart I must admit to myself that I can't justify keeping this game in my library. As a big fan of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series this game is a hard pass for me. Apart from numerous bugs, performance issues and keybinding concerns S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 doesn't fill the proper gap for an ultimate post-apocalypse Zone experience. To me this game feels nothing like Shadow of Chernobyl, the world around the player is no longer alive, NPCs lack interaction, there are no more factions, not to mention dull AI behavior of hostiles. Is it a good shooter? Probably. It's just doesn't feel like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game anymore, to put into perspective - everyone waited for a sequel for a darn long time - 17 years or so? And after so much hype and anticipation GSC released this... I would love to play it and hopefully bugs, performance issues eventually will be fixed, but for now it's not my cup of tea and I'm afraid I don't have another choice but to refund this game.

I bought this game thinking it has been a successor of the original NFS: Most Wanted. I was wrong, this game has nothing to do with old school NFS games like Most Wanted and Underground.
The very first half hour of the gameplay you're forced to watch cut scenes about "bad" cops and how dirty they play oppressing poor street racers who defy the law.
Visuals are simply not impressive, considering it's a Frostbite engine, nights don't look so bad, however racing during the day gives you a very odd feeling, lighting and shadows don't seem right with an image being too contrast for my personal taste.
The biggest drawback is that you can not adjust graphic settings, that's right you have only three pre-sets and auto mode there is no advanced graphic settings in the game - which is weird.
If you like older games in the franchise like Hot Pursuit, Underground and Most Wanted - you're not going to like Heat in any case.

Extremely addicting game! It's one of those games your mom can beat you at.

Thanks to a free weekend I can finally post a negative review on this garbage game.
Dying Light 2 is inferior to it's prequel in every single aspect.
Wanna have an ultimate zombie action experience? Just play the original Dying Light.

P.S: On the bright side I was happy to see Spike.
