This is an amazing port from the playstation, it runs great and is a really good single player game to boot

Captures what I loved about the original.
Adds enough modern to make it better, but not too different from the original

It is great spiritual successor to the galaga series, and cracking c64 game that shows what the dusty old breadbox is capable of

This game is amazing and keeps getting better, the developers have put so much care into this game and all its updates to deliver a great sci-fi experience. Even when released this game was a load of fun, and every release makes it that much better.
Edit: and the next couple releases after I reviewed have made it better again... so much more content added it is almost a new game

It is Doom!.
Makes me feel the same as I did when playing the original, yet feels new and fresh

Great remaster

Only problem would be that now with the great visuals it needs the same love on the music that the art got... but this is minor as the MIDI tunes are still great :)

I remember this and the second first game being amazing when they came out, playing it now it is like a mediocre game wrapped in a low budget version of Days of our lives… if you really loved it back when it came out maybe the nostalgia would make it worthwhile, for me I always preferred the Lucasfilm/arts adventure games over these...
