Was a great game but devs are greedy.

They made millions of dollars off if the game, added nothing new the the game but upped the price because "inflation".


News flash, if you aren't adding anything to the game for years, it deflates in value not the other way around.

100+ hour campaign, if you game crashes once you lose all of it.

Can be a fun game but I think its not worth the money, maybe if the game was $5 that i would buy it.

The issue it that the game developers made some questionable development choices. One of which was to make a city builder on a single threaded engine. This means that all of the game pathing and AI are done on the same thread which slows the game down a ton in mid to late game. This has the hug problem, that most city builders have, of your units will sit there idle for longer than they are working even if there is jobs queued.

Its a very bad game, kind of fun but no polish everything lags or dc or resets your progress. Instead of fixing the game they released the games source code. Basically telling the player to fix their game.

The game game studio is also known for not finishing Space Engineers and Medieval Engineers. They have ideas but don't know how to finish a game never buy anything from them.

Is a P2W game, which would be okay since the game is really fun, but eveything else thats not the game part of the game is complete poop. Would not recommend at all.

Cafting: you build higher tier parts by using lower tier parts. These Lower tier parts take a ton of time to grind out. your looking at 10h to craft one rare part. Next, crafting of anything higher than common requires premium currency. You can get premium currency by selling your parts to the game. common parts go for 0.01c to 0.4c the bench to make rare cost 5.0c get ready to grind the poop out of it all.

Match making: "it sucks" the game has ps (power score) you should be able to match with similar scores, wrong, you will get matched with people well over your score 100% to 500% over. This is a lot since early game (like still starting everything) get matched with mid game players. You get reckt and is makes the grind harder.


Special events: Wooo there're Special. Just dont with these, not untill end game. There are normaly a free-for-all somthing (death match, race, ect...) and if you win you get a loot box. But the match making is really broken with these these is no more ps matching in these events. You will vs 10k - 15k ps with your 1k noob craft. You can not win all is hopeless.

Raids: these are events on the map, you do them to get certain crafting (only available in raids), these are your team vs AI. except it uses gas, Gas is timed resources you get back after an amount of time, or you could spend premium currency refill it. (this sounds like a mobile game)

Loot boxes: The game has Loot Boxes, what more is there to say about it.

Player Market: there is a player market where you can sell your items for premium currency. Early to mid game stuff doesnt show up on the market, late to end game stuff will cost you more than a full normal game. ($70 for one end game gun at time if review)

Its a $146.50 game with microtransactions what more needs to be said.



Im going to give you the short run down.
1. Overkill made payday 2
2. Overkill hired 50 ish new people.
3. Overkill couldn't pay said new people because of payday 2 sales were low.
4. Overkill tried, but failed, to get sales up with Lot of DLC. (people dont like $200 of DLC for a $30 game)
5. Overkill signed on with 505 games so they could pay said employees.
6. Overkill added microtransactions to make money (505 games doesn't like games that lose money)

In short payday 2 is a $20 game with 28 paid DLC at +- $126.50 and microtransactions. Bringing your total to $146.50 for the full game and what even you will spend on microtransactions.

**The game seams unfinished. There is massive balance issues with some guns and high level players. The comunity is on of the worst because people are not friendly, and you get kicked from games a lot for no reason.

Main point, the devs just keep making ♥♥♥♥ DLC insted of finishing the game and selling it for more than its worth. The heist is the first game were bigger and more elaborate. In this game you rob jewelry stores, chinese restaurant and 7-elevens. The game is like Call of "Duty" (its a poop joke). So if you like CoD then buy the game. If you want what the game is supposed to be then go play "payday the heist".

The game is like Killing Floor the way that Killing Floor was a really fun game. Then they added WAY to much DLC. The first DLC the commuity pack which was good, but after that it just make the game not as fun.**
