One of the worst financial decisions i've made in the last year. If I could use a time machine and stop myself from soending that $150+ CAD(after tax) I would. I put in a fair amount of hours and spent time trying to understand the game, won a local event(a small one, but I digress), and kept up with the meta. Spent 2 hours and 46 minutes(yes I timed it) skipping cutscenes in story mode to unlock Havik, the character I wanted to play, and another 1.5 hours doing the absolutely atrocious invasions mode unlocking all the kameos, only to find out Havik was barely a complete character and 90% of the kameos were absolutely not worth the time it took to unlock them. I thugged it out, through the terrible menus and load times, and found something simple to play, so I could understand the game better. There was no crossplay at launch, the online play was awful, the game was not optimised at all, and took forever to adjust for optimal play. I uninstalled soon after and said i'll be back when Ermac comes out. Ermac came out 7 months later, I reinstalled the 130 GIGABYTES of this game again, and found ermac to be pretty fun. The problems of balancing(90% of the kameos not being worth the bytes they are made of/most of the characters being incomplete; the few that are remaining the best no matter what changes are made) still existed, and I remembered why I uninstalled again. DO NOT BUY. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.

graphically unimpressive, but very fun and engaging gameplay.

one of my favourite fighting games of the last decade! Visually holds up and the gameplay is so free-flowing and diverse!
