Weird to reccomend! It's very different from the first game, but both of these games are fantastic in their own right! I absolutely love it even if I loved the first game more. They're both fantastic. If you're patient for weird gameplay do the first one first. It is good and this one is also good.

For my first paragraph, I'd like to lay all my cards on the table. This is easily one of the best stories I've experienced in a good while, and definitely my favorite Telltale game.

For my second paragraph, I'd like to go into a little bit more detail. This game has absolutely no business being as good as it is. I'll openly admit to being a fan of the Borderlands series' writing. I willingly forgive the meme BS it constantly tries to throw at you in favor of the genuinely interesting story it hides underneath. This game builds on all of that, and it even ditches the memes two episodes in! Every little bit of story that Borderlands introduces but never works with really shines here. It's a great story about an unbelievably lovable band of Borderlands trademark misfit characters. And, in the least likely outcome, it ties-in the Pre-Sequel's story AND the Hammerlock's Hunt's story in a very meaningful way. Who would have expected that from the worst DLC and an outsourced spinoff?

There's really no good way to describe it. It's an experience that more or less requires you to be up to date on all other Borderlands games, but maybe that's why it works so well. It builds on a universe that you're familiar with in a way that that same universe has never let you see itself before.

It is easily the best Telltale game I've ever played, and it has produced a huge number of characters that I won't be forgetting any time soon. I know this game suffered from poor sales, but I'll still hold out hope that a sequel may happen.

(For the record, Anthony Burch is not the lead writer on this project. Just saying.)

I feel compelled to give this a good review because for some ungodly reason there's only 68% approval on Steam.

Of course it doesn't capture the exact same magic as the New Order, but who was expecting that? That was lightning in a bottle. It's gone. This is more than you could rightfully expect from a sequel, though. Another fantastic adventure with characters that elicit genuine emotional responses, be it love or hate.

The members of the Kreisau Circle will always stand out as some of the best characters in any game ever written.

Also they added a lot of gore and it's super cathartic to lop off klansmen limbs and split nazi skulls.

I wish I had a joke or anything but this is the single coolest game I've ever played. I played this game for the first time like 6 months before writing this review and it still is true for me. It's so cool. It's so good. I love this game.

Dead Space 2 is one of my all-time favorites. It does storytelling in a way that a lot more games need to learn to do. Dead Space 2 foregoes most of the first game's insistence that it is a horror game in favor of another type of story that is more focused on atmosphere and storytelling.

You're Isaac. Isaac isn't a silent protagonist anymore, and Isaac isn't an everyman. You don't feel scared for you own life, you worry for Isaac's. This is Isaac's story, and the over-the-shoulder camera serves to emphasize that. You're a passenger in Isaac's story. There's no choices, there's no alternate paths. You're a witness to his story and it is your job to keep him alive.

Even if the story itself isn't amazing, the way it is told is something I have yet to see matched in any game.

I think out of everything shown in this game the Nazi's most impressive technology is the ability to avoid 14 years of muscular atrophy.

Have you ever watched incest porn? I mean not real incest porn because that's gross, but one where the "plot" is that the actors are related. It's a little creepy but you tell yourself "hey, it's two attractive naked people going at it, and they're not actually related." Yet no matter how much you try to convince yourself, you still walk away naked and drippy and feeling a very unique feeling of shame for what you've just done.

This game is the only other thing that makes me feel that way.
