I liked this game. The characters were fun and the mechanics had just enough complexity to take some thought without needing to chart things out. The art style and music was good as well, and it was just the right length to finish without outstaying it's welcome.

My only complaints are that the side characters didn't really get fleshed out. They basically have one event each and that's it. And it's not very replayable. I got the best ending on my first attempt, and well I could go back and play through it again to get the worse ending variants, but it seems kind of pointless. It doesn't seem to be possible to change the big plot points.

Still I would definitely recommend it. It was solid six hours of enjoyment.

If you like time stop mechanics this game is okay. Actually the early levels are more than okay. You have limited weapons and have to work out how to kill the enemies and in what order to maximum effect. Along with occasionally needing to rush around to get civilians out of harms way.

The problem is that about halfway through the game enemies are introduced that are fully capable of running around inside the time stop with you. The first few are great. They're a surprise in the midst of the mission, and it feels like you're fighting a boss. Then you get the ultimate ability it stops being a puzzle and just becomes a straight up shooter. Bunches of speedster enemies come at you, and it's almost always the same formation of enemies with only a little variance.

The game becomes a slog as you kill the ranged ones first, kite the rest into a bunch, and then use your ultimate. Then repeat as needed until everything is dead. And that's pretty much how the rest of the game plays out. It was disappointing.

On top of that the story was kind of threadbare. The way the cutscenes was handled was actually kind of neat in my opinion, but they skipped around and barely gave any explanation for anything. Who are these enemies trying to destroy the world? Who set up all the clues you're following? What is the final weapon you're supposed to find? You'll never find out. Here's another batch of enemies to ultimate to death.

In summary I got it for half off, and I got my money's worth. I wouldn't buy it at the full price though.

The story is short and sweet, but it's still neat to see how how the different endings play out based on your previous choices. What the characters do each time is largely set by your choices, but they do have their own core personalities that shine through.

I would not say this is a very deep game. The timeline basically shows your what you need to do for each ending, but it pulls you and keeps you engaged for the whole thing, and the ending is satisfying.

This is a fun little raising game. It has a lot of options to choose from leading to various endings and lots of different activities to unlock in each playthrough. So it's got a lot of replayability, which is good because each run is short. I finished in about an hour and half with a few detours to see other endings.

The characters are interesting and the writing is good, but again the game is pretty short so nothing gets too deep. Still though I liked it.

This game is basically armored core light. It lets you customize your mech with a variety of weapons and parts. The guns are satisfying to shoot and there's a real tension in whether or not you can overcome the horde. The voice acting and story are actually pretty good. Though there are a few parts that are kind of predictable.

I'd like it if there were a bit more variety in the missions, but it does a fairly good job of keeping everything from being just a straight wave survival fight. My only other complaint is that while the weapons have a good variety the parts are kind of meh. Some of them are better than others, but it doesn't really feel like there is much difference there.

Still I liked the game. And hopefully there will be more missions released in the future.

Honestly I liked quite a few things about this game. Scrapping the tutorial ships was neat, and mining the asteroids was actually fun to figure out the most efficient places to hit it with the pickaxe. My problem was in building the ships and flying. To illustrate I'll just state what I did in the game.

After completing the initial tutorials I went over to my ship. Then I flew out to the asteroid belt which was helpfully marked, mined two rocks, and flew back. That took 20-30 minutes, most of which was just slowly flying, and netted me half the minerals I needed to proceed to the next phase of the tutorial. So after getting a bit discouraged I got on reddit and checked for any new player guides and was excited to see a post that seemed to describe my exact situation and that it would only take a few more mining trips to get a much better ship.

So I got back on and checked the ship shop, but was dismayed to find that I only had about 10% of what I needed to buy the worker ant, which had been recommended in the post. Well no matter I thought. It'll probably go faster once I get more cargo boxes on my ship. So I headed back out to mine some more. It was significantly more confusing to find an asteroid belt without a marker so my second trip actually took more like 30 minutes than 20.

Still I got back and this time I had enough minerals to continue the tutorial and build two cargo modules. That was double my current capacity so a little exciting. Except it refused to go on my ship. The module was green and in the right place, but clicking did nothing. Eventually when I was messing around with the renaming it mysteriously attached, but now the second module wasn't even giving a green outline.

Eventually I gave up and flew back out to the belt. At least that one module was a 50% increase, and maybe it would work when I got back. This time it took even longer because I got really confused with where the actual belt was. I flew toward a promising looking collection of dots, but it never seemed to get closer. I could see other asteroid dots go behind me, but I had no idea how far to the side they were and didn't know if it would be faster to try and get to them or not. Eventually I bumbled around and managed to get to a smaller field, which was noticeably not the one I had been aiming at, that one was still in the distance. Again the actual mining was fun. Even without the lasers smashing the rocks with the pickaxe is satisfying.

Then I spent another 15 minutes flying back to the station, which kind of killed any joy I was feeling. Once there I went back into the easy build hoping it had reset or something. But no it was still not working for my ship. I even tried restarting the game, but nothing.

So I got off and noticed the last patch said not to use easy build with the premade ships. Which is what the tutorial had explicitly told me to do. Looking at the forums it appears that the consensus is that the easy build, which again the tutorial had explicitly told me to use, was garbage and that it was better to use the ship designer. But at this point I was already spent more than two hours in it, and was hoping to get a refund. I wasn't going to spend another few hours in the ship designer and negate that chance.

If I don't get that refund I'll give the ship designer a try. And I did enjoy parts of the game quite a lot. But the ship building and flying just didn't click with me, and given that those are pretty much the core features of a building game in space that's kind of a deal breaker.

I actually do plan to come back to this. Maybe in a few months or maybe when it leaves early access, but for now I can't recommend it.

This a fun little game. The puzzles aren't mind boggling, but they aren't trivial either. It can take some thought to get through them, though all the clues necessary to solve them are generally located nearby. Each area is fairly short, but there are multiple ways to get through them so the game actually has some replayability.

The art is great and the controls are intuitive. Overall it's a very well made game. The story is pretty straightforward though. I could see the plot twist coming well before it happened. But still overall I liked it. I'll play it again to get the other endings, but maybe not immediately.

The executable seems to have deleted itself and no matter whether I try to update the game or I entirely reinstall it the download always stops before finishing. So I literally can't keep playing.

There isn't much to say about this game. It's short and sweet. The puzzles aren't hard, but the solutions are funny and the item descriptions have some nice bits as well. The story is too short to get complicated, but it's fulfilling without being too sappy. I laughed out loud several times.

The whole game left me in a good mood with a smile on my face after a stressful day. And I hope there is a sequel some day.

Edit: Oh and since I read the other reviews I should mention that the controls were smooth for me and I didn't have any bugs. But I also used a controller. I remember when I played the demo a few months back with a keyboard it was a bit clunky. So use a controller if you can.

I'll preface this by saying I think there is a basis for a solid game here. But there are a few key points that detract enough to make it not fun in the long term. Focci's review does a good job of breaking down the numbers, but the summary is that you need to process a lot of crystals into energy in order to feed all your bees. And it takes a lot of bees to produce any sort of excess that allows for other tasks to be done.

That means if you put the minimum bees into processing crystals to produce enough energy, and then focus everything else into finding and mining new resource sites, then you can get a fair ways into the game. But every time a new bee is born it puts a bigger drain on your energy. So there is very little allowance for progression, and any disruption, like an attack or a negative event that puts a few bees in medical, can be deadly.

Having to start over is fine every so often, but there are two problems. First there is some progression in the form of unlocks you can take into a new game. But they offer a few percentages here and there. It gives you a boost, but doesn't really change how the game plays. Which leads to the second problem of the game being very repetitive. With only one viable strategy you'll be doing the same thing every game, and seeing the same events with only a little bit of variation.

Maybe it will open up in later chapters, but I don't really want to run ten nearly identical playthroughs to get there.

Also on top of that the translation isn't very good. It's nothing too major, but there are a few places where the word choice is odd and the grammar is poor.

In short I think it would be a good game if it was rebalanced to allow for a little bit more variation in play style. But I can't recommend it currently.
