Amazing game and port, running smooth with no crashes since Day 1.

If you're looking for a fun open-world game set in Japan then give this a try, highly recommended.

Easily the best REMAKE and definitely GOTY of 2023!

Capcom has weaved magic with this labor of love, adding some fresh perspective while respectfully keeping the spirit of the original intact. The characters are great, the combat and stealth are still awesome and I'm still having fun on my 3rd run, this is honestly the greatest entry to date.

Now give us CODE VERONICA PLEASE!

Epic can try to break me but your money will never buy me and I will never spend even a dollar in your store. Also maybe next time bribe Square to release a working game instead of stupid exclusives.

But underneath this broken port lies a amazing game, there is something here for both old and new players alike to enjoy.

PROS
- Tifa is HOT, what is life without her smile?
- Despite the lack of choices the graphics look incredible.
- Soundtrack is phenomenal, a slight remix adds a tinge of freshness while keeping the endearing charm of the original.
- Brilliant presentation of the Main characters, their personalities really shine and their camaraderie just feel so right and meaningful.
- More character focused especially minor characters who never really stood out in the original and but come alive here (Jessie is a great example).
- Greatly enjoyed the higher coverage and emphasis in the Slums and Midgard as a whole.
- Combat is fun and smooth, new mechanics to skills, a good selection of materia and stagger system keep it exciting.
- Andrea Rhodea's Rhythm game was so much fun, I laughed so much and I could redo this part 20 times and never get bored.

CONS
- Story is really short, would have been better split in 2 instead of forcing a trilogy.
- Extremely annoying mini-games designed to only trigger you and want to make you smash something, Jules Push-up and Intermission Bahamut fight were the worse!
- Summons are lacklustre and had almost no impact, also would prefer a way to summon when needed instead of AI giving me the choice.
- Some of the better materia require so much AP farm, for a game this short I feel the AP requirements could have been reduced considering you hardly need any farm for gold or to reach the level 50 cap.
- Need to become a technician to fix Square's sloppy and broken port.
- Second class citizens due to corporate greed.

Leaving some of the fixes that helped me greatly because in the end we can only rely on ourselves
- Right Click the game from your steam library > Properties > General > Under Launch Options type "-d3d11" without quotes
- For garbled audio reduce all in-game audio settings between 1-3 and set all PC audio settings to max.
- For those who have FMV (the flashbacks) stuttering and being unresponsive go to nexusmods and search for "Fix Lag or freeze in CG Movies" by SeiferAlmasyFF8

After applying the above 3 fixes the game was running smooth so hopefully they help future players.

To Square Enix, please get your ♥♥♥♥ together and show some proper respect to your fans as this port is unacceptable, especially when you charge us full price. Many did purchase this at full price and even gave it the thumbs up but if you continue to abuse your fanbase you will surely but slowly lose all your fans.

A lazy port with no love from the devs and riddled with bugs, crashes and broken achievements.

Acttil has ceased activities since mid 2021 so I lodged a complaint with Namco and despite support assuring me that they would take it up with the devs nothing has been done so far.

Clearly this game was intended to be a quick cash grab with minimal effort, not worth your time or money even on a sale.

The epic conclusion to the cold steel saga

And what a conclusion it was, almost every notable trails character makes a appearance and past heroes unite to defeat a ancient and powerful evil once and for all, it's so convincing I thought I was watching Avengers: Endgame

Though the ride has been long and all stories must have a finale, this is not truly the end, rather it is the beginning of a new chapter and one I look forward to experiencing again with friends old and new alike

Now for the love of Aidios please, PLEASE bring us Hajimari no Kiseki and Kuro no Kiseki sooner rather than later

Like many others I was genuinely excited for the release of this game, I cleared my schedule and choose to believe the experience of traversing in such a rich world hacking all manner of vile beast and pillaging rare treasures would be worth the wait.

So it is really infuriating when Torrent (my horse) and enemy units are invisible, they sometimes appear but for the most part they go invisible after a while. I have tried every fix and it is soul-crushing when you try and try and nothing you do works.

As it is the game is literally unplayable and it is with a heavy heart I give this game a thumbs down till a fix is available.

Yoko Taro is a creative visionary, he dares to be different and isn't afraid to tread where others are afraid to in order to get his story across, at first it may not make sense and at times confusing but don't give up, choose to believe and dare to dream because there is light at the end of your journey.

If you love Nier Automata you will love this incredible remaster
If you love 2B's divine ass then Khaine will not disappoint with her divine "gifts"
If you love good soundtracks the music alone is worth the price tag, it's the best I've heard in years.

Atlus please hear our voices... just listen to your fans, WE NEED PERSONA 5 ROYAL!

If you have enjoyed previous persona games then this amazing sequel will not disappoint, more importantly even if you have never played the prequel you will never feel that way, it's like you took a break and you're back together again with your buddies to start a whole new kickass journey.

With a god tier soundtrack, you're in for a wild ride.

After Zestiria (couldn't even finish the game) and to a lesser extent Berseria (at least I managed to finished it), my expectations for the future of Tales series were at a all time low and for the first time I was planning on skipping Arise but news about a new development team and new changes implemented led me to give them a chance and boy was I glad I took that chance.

This is hands down one of the best Tales game I have ever had the pleasure of playing, it has renewed my faith in the series and has quickly become my personal GOTY for 2021.

Pros:
+ Alphen and Shionne really shine as dual protagonist, their growth will keep you emotionally invested
+ Incredible visuals, runs smooth even on my potato PC
+ Fun gameplay, combat system, skills and crafting
+ Great mix of supporting characters
+ Engaging story that culminates to a satisfying ending
+ Music is good although not great, loved the ending theme alot
+ No Denuvo, never experienced any bugs or glitches so good port

Cons:
- Paid DLCs, I have no issues with levels and cosmetics dlcs but please don't insult us with locked skills that's not cool.

So is this a masterpiece? it certainly comes really close for me, when I look back at all the great Tales games this will definitely be among them.

Definitely highly recommended 9.5/10, would be a solid 10 if not for the DLCs

Kojima is a true visionary, it's almost like he peeked into the future and created this masterpiece as a foreshadow of ours.

This is a story of focus, commitment and sheer will, you are humanity's beacon of hope, on a journey to make the world whole again and become the greatest delivery guy the world has ever seen.

The world is incredibly beautiful, the characters will grow on you and the port is amazing, I only have a semi-decent PC and have yet to experience any problems. It's weird, unique and fun all at the same time and it's unlike anything you've ever experienced.

Don't think about it and just do it, because in this world you never truly walk alone and that alone is worth the sacrifice.
