This is the best factory automation game I've played, and I've played most of them. It also has the most responsive dev team of any game I've played, with reported bugs often getting acknowledged in hours and fixed hours to days. The expansion is a lot of new content, and the modding scene is huge. You can play a hundred mods and get a hundred different game experiences.

Decent colony simulator. Mods add infinite replayability; it's like a whole new game.

The game is designed to encourage established players to hunt new players instead of engage with players of similar level of equipment and base. They can spend 20 minutes collecting resources, or 30 seconds killing an unarmed player to get what they just spent 20 minutes collecting. Even if they don't need the resources, they can ruin someone's day with minimal effort.
The one saving grace is that there are modded servers that discourage this in various ways, but as long as the base game is so friendly to griefers it won't be one I recommend.

I was excited for the release of this game for computer, after playing in real life and via the web. Unfortunately this implementation is a serious let-down. The interface is clunky and poorly designed, with unnecessary forced waits (even on the fastest interface setting) and important information hidden on collapsed panels. Also it seems like the community around this version has died down, as I haven't been able to get into a single ranked game in the hours I've been trying. That leaves me playing against the AIs, which aren't very good.
