BIG potential and a lot of overhype!

I will ignore the issues with the servers for this review.

To be fair I have only played with randoms/solo and it's fun but not for that long, its incredible the amount of really stupid players in this game! As far as a 4 player coop it's not feeling great, there is little mechanics that works well as far as teamwork except the usual stick together and take aggro while I flank the armored in the back. Haven't seen anyone use the teammate reload, there is no proper revive.

The skills involved to playing this game are:
- the little arrows sequence to use the airdrops/pods.
- running back to your body EVERYTIME you die to get your stuff.
- more running, oh and the jumps too, they do look good.
- bringing the right gear for the job. (dont worry it's pretty much always the same thing cause there is only a couple weapons that are efficient against heavy armor)
- learning the enemies weakspots.
- being very aware of your teammates and what they're doing so they don't kill you.

The whole friendly fire feels to me like a desperate attempt to make the game appear more "fun" than it is.

I just expect more from an action packed 4 player coop, especially one with guns. There is too many dead times when you're running around the map. The fact that you drop the support weapon is just the most annoying thing about the game, the absolute worst, it just sucks the fun right out!

I hope they will do some big changes but as it is now I kinda regret buying, it's just not that deep once you scratch the surface, all that is left is a stupid grind to unlock everything and going through the difficulties where they just spam numbers and armored units at you. I would have liked it way more with linear maps like L4D or even with a lot more players in a big all out war with objectives.

It was okay while it lasted. A lot of jank that is never going to get fixed.
Mounts finally added... for DLC owners only. 2 years and still no cross server matchmaking after all the server merges fiasco (hours of queue to play the game rn like on release)
Boring endgame grind that you can't solo.
PVP is really meh even though the game was supposed to be focused on it.

Shame! This could have been a really great MMO if they actually spent the proper time developping it, but now they moved on to the DLCs phase before fixing the many issues the core game still has so that's a no from me!

It is fun coop with a good challenge, and they fixed most of the annoying things from launch.

Get it when it's on sale, and/or probably wait a couple years that they actually finish making the game. This is clearly an early access title.

Amazing puzzle game! Innovative and very smart, once you are hooked you will spend hours scratching your head until that Eureka moment comes to you. The game can be very hard but you can finish it without doing all the levels. There is also some really cool "secrets" 10/10

One of my favorite games. I love a good puzzle game and The Witness takes it to a new level. No real explanation as to what to do so you have to figure out for yourself by exploring and thinking. The environnement of the island is beautiful and full of little details really easy to miss at first glance. Loved the mix of religion/science/philosophy.

This game could have been amazing...
