The answer to 4K gaming with those with 4K montiors and TV's with extremely good image quality on either AMD or Nvidia cards. With the lack of video cards and shortages in the market producing high prices this solves the problem. I have an Nvidia Geforce 1070Ti and have had to in the past play at 1440p as games would be to slow at 4k. Now that is history and I can max out all settings and I can't tell any image degradation and it's very sharp at 4k using AMD's FSR. This is the silver bullet for gamers wanting more frames and increased eye candy and 4k gaming. It's simple to use and you can leave your TV set at native 4k desktop. Change the game to windowed mode at a lower resolution and set the setting for auto and FSR and image sharpening to 2.0. Last, go to Nvidia control panel and max out the filters and FSAA to be your choice. You won't have to setup again and then hit UPSCALE in 5 seconds and click your game windows and presto you got a 4k upscaled image. It's gorgeous and it plays like a dream at 60fps or more. Thank you Losless Scaling for implementing FSR and thank you AMD for letting this work on any card! I finally get to play at 4k with all eye candy on. It's perfect for modern games old and new!

Even if you have never seen the , Walking Dead, series before as I have not this is a story driven game that absorbs you into the world of Zombies itself. I've never been captivated so much in any Zombie type story movie or game before like this. The choices you make reflect what happens in the game later as well. So, you don't need to be a TV watcher to enjoy this. IF you like story driven zombie movies or shows your going to enjoy this just as much, maybe more even since you interact with the story.

The story is suspensful, has twisting plots of many directions and is non-linear in this manner. It keeps you captivated by consistently throwing different plots at you from different perspectives. It leaves your mind imagining and wanting to play more to see what happens next. And if you expect that you know what's going to happen next you will be surprised in every way. It's not predictable, it does stir up some emotion. Which I find games in general difficult to do that , however, TellTale's Walking Dead manage to make my stomach turn at times, almost tear, sigh with surprise, and continue to finish the game to completion. You will be left many times with "omg" moments of what you think is going to happen or what is going on in the story and will literally fall flat on your face and have to break when certain things happen in disbeleif of the suspense the game creates at times. I've never had any game do that with my emotions before. Movies, yes. But a game? Never. I rarely complete my games unless the game is great. If you are expecting action packed gaming look elsewhere. If you want interaction with one heck of a story you need this game in your library. It' s hard to call it a game. It's the best novel reading game experience and a reinvention of classic book reading with closed captioning on. I turned on the closed captioning and it was like playing (reading) a novel before bedtime where I choose the direction while not just listening but being able to read it as well. You can't do that in a book nor a movie and if you enjoy reading a good book an adult can enjoy a good interactive novel game as well. And this series I recommend to any adult even over 40 years old!

There's not alot of negative to state. There was one silly incorrect use of the word "to" in Episode 5 in the closed captioning. It was verb issue that I caught right away toward the end of the game in Episode 5 which I cannot reveal.
And it's not worth even taking off any points at all in this game. I hardly call that a deal breaker of any type.

The positives were that I was able to play it with Xbox One controller and it worked flawlessly. I found that the game had some challenge in places but not overly hard whatsoever compared to puzzle games I've played. Anyone can play this game but due to the cussing I'd say 15 and under shouldn't be allowed to play it or you'll get calls from the school for using "GD" to much. It might work if there is a profanity filter in game but this is not a kids game due to some disgusting scenes that will move you and the language.

But, I do feel it wasn't intended for kids anyway. This an adult novel game done perfectly.
I juiced up the excitement by using my 3dtv with active shutter glasses.
I typically don't like using them for gaming. However, I'm finding 3dtv and gaming for novel games are a match made in heaven. You will be immersed in TellTale's universe by adding this option. I don't recommend them for high paced actioin games. But melded with Telltale's games they are one step closer to full game novel immersion. It's as if you stepped into the screen and not only are you the character. Now you are part of the story, literally. I think TellTalle needs to add native 3D support to all there games. It's a definite immersion experience that increases the effect the company is aiming for in every way.

I agree entirely with the Overwhelmingly Positive reviews. Just don't play this while your eating I advise against that.
You might get disgusted when it is least expected. So it does what it sets out to do. It will stir up emotion and does it well. A+

Warning and Disclaimer:
Do not play this on school nights and before gonig to bed. Have ambien and/or Trezadone for sleeping to avoid stomach bursting nightmares. The game effectively reminds you and turns you back in time to the first ALIEN movie experience.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the start of the game I was on the edge of my seat waiting to encounter the A L I E N.
Then my wait was over and so was the game. I died and decided not to play this game again with the lights off.
And this is coming for a 43 year old man who got scared of a video game.
It deserved the 50 bucks just because I won't play in the dark again. Something is seriously wrong wtih video game makers today scaring adults. I wouldn't be surprised if the devs are on the watch list for mentally disturbed people.

Nice job SEGA and dev team. I'd pay the money for the game again just to get that first 1 hour experience. It was the same experience I got walking away from that Six Flags ride where you get dropped hundreds of feet straight down. Thankfully, in both cases, I didn't wet my pants.

I used to feel worthless.
The results said my pc was even worse.

I feel better that something else ranked lower than me.

I live in the country and just went through a septic tank (sewage) problem and out of just fun I was thinking heh let's play this game "Darm Matter" since the name itself reminded me of my poop experience recently. well what I didn't expect is for this experience to get worse. First a big foot slaps up on the scream for the companies logo of what appeasrs to be flying poop of all shapes and sizes. So, I start up a campaign and start firing away at this floating poo and all be the firing sounds like terds going into a toilet. Then trying to figure out the controls which wasn't WASD I get pop up tutorial and thrust uncontrablly into the flying poo while firing terd noises and collide with the upmost and grossest plop noise like more poo hitting the bottom of a sceptic.

Now if you've ever played Asteroids on Atari then picture than with flying crap on the scream with toilet noises to match and you get Dark Matter.

Any game that reminds me of my sewage experience with a name to match with flying terds and noises too match is thumbs down. I should be paid for the nightmares about terds I will have I am forever mentally damaged from this game.

Bottom line:
It's a terd of a game.....LITERALLY.

This is not a scary point a click adventure by far but it does have an appeal being a, "cutsie", type of vampire game.
Expect typical Monkey Island type gameplay. The story itself is nothing new with the female seeing an out of a bad relationship that was forced upon her. She's trapped and looking for a way out of it and to get to Paris. In some ways
the puzzles and gameplay reminded me of the first Broken Sword game. And the atmosphere. The voice acting was rather good and the sense of humor in the game was funny and enjoyable. At times I felt the puzzles didn't seem to flow well with the story and found myself aimlessly exploring trying to find the next clue which led me into mystery. The story began to lose some cohesion as I went on so I felt some of this was clumbsy with respect to delivery of the story and puzzles in the game. The puzzles themselves weren't overly hard but, enjoyable. At times I would get bored and save the game to find myself coming back to it in 30 minutes time enjoying it some more. With that said
I found it to be a cutsie , entertaining , get away from the standard hack and slash and shoot em up games I enjoy as well. Recommended to get it when on sale as a 20 dollar price tag is far too high for this game.

NOTE: I am running Windows 8.1 and have experiencd no problems running the game. My system is up to date with an AMD 8350, 16 gig of ram, Radeon R285 and all windows updates (including optional) installed. I recommend optional updates as they do typically have game compatibility fixes in them. But I've run into zero issues with playing this game on a modern computer.

This is a really good platformer. The puzzles are unique, the game has challenge and keeps your interest. The graphics and environment set well for the games atomosphere. I'm enjoying this game immensly, it's different, it's intriguing and it keeps your mind thinking on how to solve puzzles. I like how it uses color and beams to determine what functions your character can use. The type of beams determine what you can and cannot do if your character crosses them. You can create duplicates of yourself as part of the puzzle solving process and it's required. The game leads you into the abilities of your character so it doesn't seem as if "poof" you can do these neat abilities it was a gradual process of instruduction being able to create mujltiple entities of yourself and swap with them to solve a puzzle. I didn't find any bugs either. If your looking for constant action packed excitement don't look here this one is for those who enjoy a unique twist to puzzle solving and does very well at it. IF you like puzzle solving which is very rewarding look no futher this one will keep your attention for many hours and get you hooked and become a Swapper fan. I look forward to seeing additional Swapper titles as this type of game can go really far and the story is great. I hope the developer makes more I can't wait to see what they can do by expanding a very impressive concept. There's nothing like it pick this gem up.

Disclaimer: Although it says 1 hour on record this appears to be incorrect. Many hours have been played so this is somewhat confusing as the game time is wrong. I have indeed played it for more than 3 hours and intend to do more until I reach the end.
