a fun and unique game, definitely worth the buy. the only thing is that it's fairly buggy at the moment

this isnt going to be as detailed as i'd like it to be but here's just my personal thoughts.
my lapop isn't exactly the best but runs it mostly fine on low settings and 30 frames capped.

story: not anything too spectacular, but coherent and provides for a fun time of overall hunting with friends. it goes along smoothly and there's still a bunch of endgame content you can go through with friends. overall i give the story aspect 4/5

gameplay: so far very good. its engaging, has a better playstyle than MHO, has a lot of diffrent monsters to fight. i would only recommend having more different maps to fight in, i like that theyre big and open world but eventually you go through all of them and then you have nothing much else to discover. the new weapons are fun to play and all the cool palico stuff, little tricks like drinking too much and passing out are nice touches to the game.

music: not necessarily something i paid much attention to and isnt too important for me, but overall very good. the music when you fight big monsters and wyverns are fairly memorable and badass sounding (> fighting big monsters at wildspire). 5/5

and the part everyone wants to know; the technical aspects. a lot of connection issues. get kicked from sessions randomly in the middle of fighting elder dragons, friends get separated. this is literally the worst problem in this game. not only that, but there are also a lot of quest join failures, sometimes it wont let me join my friends quest if they posted it while i was in a quest and tried to join after when i was done, resulting in my friends having to repost the quest. not only that, but sometimes they have issues with the actual sessions themselves; they dont show up and we end up having to remake sessions all over again. when im trying to matchmak to find sessions, most of the time it doesnt even let me into a session and gives me constant errors. a lot of my other frieds have expressed having apparent errors when it comes to graphics, saying there is a glitch in the graphics, gives them errors, and kicks them off. i personally dont have this issue but my friend who has a way higher spec computer than me is having those issues. however i do think i have noticed a couple improvements in the last few days that its been released, so ill give it a 1/5. hopefully they fix the rest of the connection issues because thats the brunt of the problems right now.
