NOT WORTH THE FULL PRICETAG

Pros:
✅an official winter map
✅populated servers

Cons:
❌NOT original (a reskin of an old Arma 3 map)
❌unbalanced in a bad way (just a comple points of interest)
❌old bugs of the base game are still not fixed (zombies running through objects/gates, disappearing loot, etc.)
❌useless (for PC users) in comparison to Namalsk (which is free and has got more content + its own lore)
❌TERRIBLY overpriced (this DLC costs like a standalone game! no discount for Livonia buyers)

Don't waste your money on this.

If it wasn't an old purchase, I would've refunded the game. It is a boring repetitive experience.
I remember having more fun in coop Source mods than in this.

What you will come across here:
+somewhat decent visual design
-boring puzzles
-running away from stupid AI
-repeats the same gameplay design as above on further levels
-barely any fun, no wish to continue after ~2 hrs

Absolutely love this game!
Original, beautiful and fun!

Even better in co-op ;)
AND there are additional tasks after finishing the game.

Pros:
+ Very beatiful!
+ Lots of secrets;
+ Settings to fine-tune your 'boomer experience': you can set animation interpolation, texture filtering, even scale down the resolution and more!
+ CLAIMS (!) to inherit everything good from old school FPS games + built on Quake engine.
Cons:
- Boring for an old-school FPS;
- laggy sometimes (esp. in open areas with lots of enemies);
- other issues (like jerky mouse movement - you can suddenly find yourself facing the wall behind you during a fight), but it's early access, they are working on it;
- the pickups are very easy to miss (you need to step in the directly, so I've had to come back to pick smth up several times);
- the music (it's just boring, doesn't suit the gameplay);
- the sound (it lacks smth, the immersion and surround Q1 has, maybe);
- movement lacks fluency (that Quake had, for instance).
The enemies:
- they are stupid (always get stuck on corners, trying to reach you ignoring the walls);
- the models don't look robust and agressive, especially the Fallen - just a doll for killing;
- you can't telefrag them like in Q1 (if you step inside them while they are spawning, you won't collide);
- they have spawn protection (you'll have to wait while they finish spawning to kill them);

Verdict: Boring.
I've recently finished Quake and was expecting some similar experience from this game - not necessarily a masterpiece, but smth that is FUN. Although this game isn't. The gameplay is boring, the fights look like the game throws at you as many enemies as it can and it is extremely repetitive. The movement doesn't help it either - you just have to run around them not to get hit. You have everything maxed out almost all the time. The levels look alright and deep at first glance, but still feel monotonous. There is no buildup in level design, even the first level is quite large. It is hard to describe, but the whole game feels void of purpose of some sort, like a chewing gum without a taste. It doesn't feel serious, there is no immersion.

I wouldn't buy it now, if I were you. Wait till they change it somewhat, perhaps. If they don't, it would stay boring and not worth buying.

A Must Have, especially if you grew up on games like Doom, Quake and Duke Nukem.

The gameplay nicely resembles Nukem's - lots of enemies, lots of secrets (which became so rare today!).
I especially like the possibility to choose how to start a fight in some areas - there might be several entries to a room. For instance, there might be some vent leading to the same room.

It might get a little monotonous, but I think it's just me when I try to find all the secrets on the level - some of them are hidden DAMN WELL.

And the graphics - this deserves a separate paragraph. They are kinda retro and modern at the same time! I like the simplicity and vividness of it very much - delivers the atmosphere all right.

One of the most anticipated games of 2019 for me.
And I don't think I'll regret this pre-order! :D

Nobody plays it these days (the 2-3 servers available in Moscow (Russia) are almost empty).

That's why I can't even appreciate anything this mod contributes to the game.

Or maybe you've got a couple dozen friends to invite to play with you...

One of the best shooters I've ever played!

Classic 'corridor' gameplay with lots nooks to explore and numbers of secrets to look for. I liked it from beginning to end and have never regretted the money spend.

Can't wait till the sequel is released!

Mislead by the 'overwhelmingly positive' reviews, I downloaded this thing expecting some nice action and interesting story.

Alas, none of those. The only really nice thing were the writings glowing in the dark . Everything else was quite boring. Corridors, a couple of zombies with headcrabs, corridors, a puzzle, a vent, some shooting - and that's all.

I am deleting this game and don't think I'll ever recall it. It is just bland and plain.

It's just ISN'T FUN!

You can play various mods with zombies in CS 1,6, CZ and Source and have MUCH MORE FUN there!

After having some experience with Quake Live, I decided to try the Steam version.

AND I AM SORRY FOR MY CARELESSNESS

1. Voice of Quake 3 Arena is DEAD

Remember that epic 'EXCELLENT' or 'DENIED!!!'? FORGET IT!
Now the voice reminds you of your sister's boyfriend and your hand automatically closes the game and searches for usual Quake Live Launcher. And here is the second 'surprise'...

2. IT'S A TRAP!

Now you've tried Steam version. Did you like it?
SHUT UP! You'll have to play in Steam now!
Now when you try to use the original Laucher it says: Account has been ported to Steam. Please login using the Steam client. Well...

There's more like powerup spawn indicators and digits showing the damage dealt to a player that are VISIBLE THROUGH THE WALLS revealing the player's position!

Id, what are you doing???
What's next? The weapons are gonna be replaced by waterguns?

Peace and take care.
