I am not the type of person that would normally play this type of game, but a friend of mine is really into it, and so I took the plunge....As you can see by my hours, I really really liked it! So much so, that I went on my first real hunting trip last year.

COTW is jokingly between my friends referred to as the hiking simulator, and that is sort of true. That said, it's a damn beautiful hike. Each map is highly detailed to feel like the real world region it represents, and they mostly pull it off. Some areas of some maps feel similar to each other, but still feels like you're somewhere new too.

As far as realism is concerned, this game isn't the most realistic depiction of hunting, and if you're looking for that, this isn't it. That said, it can have it's realistic feeling moments and can still teach you a bit of what it is like to hunt an animal. Patience I think is the biggest thing you'll learn about hunting while playing the game or doing it in real life. COTW really has the player focus on learning where to shoot the animal, what type of ammo, and strategically placing tents to get around the map quickly. ATV's can be purchased as DLC and it is 100% worth it.

On the note of DLC, there is a lot, and I would argue the entire library is worth it. The main release for this game was a while ago, and the best way to keep the lights on for the devs is to put out new maps with new species, features and fixes and make it a DLC that only usually costs $11 USD, give or take a few dollars. That said, I find this totally reasonable for what you get each time, and each time they announce a new reserve, I find myself extremely excited.

Last point I would say is that his game is niche and again, requires patience. If you can't stand walking for a while and not seeing a single animal, this may not be for you. Once you learn the ropes though, you'll know exactly how to find whatever you want to find. Skills will enable you to have better....well, skills at all aspects of hunting. I highly recommend this for anyone who's looking for an extremely relaxing hunting game that you can just go on a beautiful hike, and see some beautiful vistas and animals.

10/10

Happy Hunting!!

Absolutely amazing game. I've never played Tarkov, but I've been told it's a lot like that, but top down. I'm not really much for shooter games in general, but this game just does it for me. The sheer sense of "just one more round" is overwhelming and that is how I easily put more hours in it, than the person that bought it for me.

The game is a roguelike that has the player going to various maps to obtain materials to bring back to your base and upgrade your base, guns and your armor. These maps have all kinds of enemies and at any point the player can extract back to safety. Anything you have on you when you die is lost unless it was not obtained on THAT specific run. If you bring items and die, you keep those and that alone makes the game extremely replayable. Maps have things that will drop that will be useful on other maps, and that also adds to it's replayability. I highly recommend this game, as you'll have plenty of things to do for at least 40 - 50 hours, which easily justifies the price.

I absolutely love this game, but I can say it's not for everyone. The game has an incredible visual style, interesting setting and plot, but I think the most shining part of this game is the mechanics. Set in a hard sci-fi setting, the game uses inertia and physics to really make you feel like you're in control of a very clunky ship in space mining rocks.

The game definitely falls in a niche category, but I think it'd appeal to more people than they think. If you like games that really center around one main mechanic, with the others not being the most fleshed out. There is combat in this game, but it's certainly not the most in-depth system, but I will say there are some extremely unique events you will encounter.

Other than that though, you're basically going out to the rings, and mining as much as you can and then heading back to sell what you've collected. From there you can upgrade your ship to do your job a bit more effectively. I really like the soundtrack, and the overall feeling and immersion the game actual gives you. I look forward to getting deeper into this game.

I played Salt 1 throughout the beta, so take this with that in mind.

Salt 2 takes just about everything about 1, and cranks it up to eleven. The water operates much better, and looks better, and the overall feel of the game is much more polished than 1. I am able to maintain a solid FPS, and that says a lot as 1 ended on a bit of a sour note not being as optimized as it should have. Salt 2 seems to have quite a bit of content already, and it's pretty well done.

Combat is pretty basic, but fun enough to be entertaining and doesn't last long enough to be annoying. The ships seem better with allowing us to customize a bit where things are placed such as decoration, and crafting tables. The navigation system and map is much better than one, and helps you map what you want to map.

Overall if you're looking for a single player Sea of Thieves-esque type game, this is it. Keep in mind though, even against AI there is currently no ship to ship combat.

I quite enjoy this game for what it's got to offer. Is it 100%? Absolutely not, but I get what they're doing here. They've released a good foundation to build on and that's what EW does if you examine their track record. All previous games have loads of content added after release, and I don't believe this will be any different.

The Angler offers an open world experience and I think that is really what shines here. The ability to share a boat with a friend and go fishing is quite underestimated. I've played for 6.8 hours as of writing this, and it was absolutely phenomenal. I didn't ignore the fact that I had three crashes in that time, and initially when disabling Anti Aliasing and Arthroscopic Filtering, it would make my rod invisible... after all the blurry water effects....it' all faded away. Because behind the bugs and the graphic glitches is a great foundation for something amazing. I truly believe, in a few years time, this game will be what theHunter is now; an amazing experience.

I've got to level 14 at this point, and I don't know much about fishing in real life. But nonetheless, I am progressing quite well and I am figuring out the mechanics to fighting a fish. It's quite exhilarating when you get one, and perhaps even more when you lose one as you become more determine to do it again. I highly recommend this game if you're not looking for the utmost realistic fishing experience but are looking for a more open experience than what is currently on the market. If you can stomach some bugs and some crashes here and there, overtime those will disappear and you'll have a great Saturday morning coffee fishing experience.

If you ever spent time playing the old arcade classics, this hits that spot on every front. The art, game-play and even dialogue brings back all the good TMNT vibes from when I was a kid. Absolutely love this game, and I can tell for sure that I will be playing this for a while. Not sure if it's just my controller though, but had to play on keyboard. Still, an amazing game that I highly recommend.

Absolutely incredibly addictive game-play!! I will be spending a ton more hours in this and for the price tag, this is a steal. It's all controlled by WASD and you auto attack until you level up, at which point you select the next perk you want and continue on. How long can you last?

Surprisingly great! The mechanics and the day-to-day of the gas station is actually quite fun to manage. Figuring out when to close, when to have deliveries for more fuel, products, or trash pickup are all done to where it's not overwhelming, but not boring either. I really enjoy this so far, and my first time playing I put 3 hours in without even thinking about how long I was playing. I will say the progression from having a crappy gas station to a more presentable one doesn't take long. It does make me wonder how much content this has, but I can see another 5 - 10 hours without running out of things to do. I'll be interested to see what more they add to this little gem as currently there is nothing from keeping your character from becoming a vampire that never sleeps, eats or does anything other than manage the station. 7/10

I'm by no means the type of person who'd like this sort of game, but I have literally fallen in love with it. Everyday I look forward to a new drive and a new DLC to expand the world. Such a beautiful game and a really relaxing gameplay loop. If you like a casual yet fun game with a lot of driving (duh) then this is for you!

Despite being essentially abandonded, it's totally worth it for $3. I love this game, and went through all the levels on every difficulty trying speed runs. Once you get done with that or at any point you can create your own levels. So really, there's more than enough here to justify the asking price.
