Canned chat makes it difficult to coordinate groups and make new friends, many abilities are locked behind DLC which is a cheap and tacky sales tactic that feels a bit "pay to win." It's fun and i'll keep playing every now and then with friends (using steam/discord chat) but I can't recommend it to others because of those issues. Since it's an online game with PvP as well, it feels like abilities were limited to 2 equipped almost solely for that reason? Gameplay can get a bit stale if you're using the same build/abilities for most of the content. Also control scheme for keyboard and mouse isn't great, it feels like a bad console port. If you wanna play it because you're a fan of the anime, I suggest getting it on sale :)

Main character is a generic bald white man with a deep voice and uninspired dialogue "what you're saying is logical" there's two straight romance options and nothing else yet the game is seemingly overpopulated by male npcs? Intro story felt a bit dry like it was reading from a school textbook, controls feel janky, shading could be better (the floor does not need to be pitch black just because it's a little shadey). Unfortunately it couldn't pull me in within the first half hour so I'm gonna move on to another game, this game must have been aimed at a different audience?

I tried this when I was going through a tough breakup, giving advice and words of encouragement made me feel better, receiving it after I decided to post something about my situation also made me feel better, and seeing the random funny things some people would post just to make someone laugh also made me feel better. I spent a bit of time just enjoying decorating the room and listening to the music, and clicking on those paper airplanes that come by with people's random thoughts. Pretty wholesome experience, it made me laugh and it made me feel good. There's no demands or expectations, the only rule is to be kind, it's totally anonymous (unless you sign your name or something) and it's just chill, I highly recommend anyone give it a try at least once, the music alone is reason enough. :)

It's as good as it looks. I wish all games had magic and destructible environments like this.

I really enjoy the text based interactions/choices you go through on the world map, while the combat is fantastic and clearly the focus of the game, I really enjoy that rpg element.

I hope the game and writing continues to expand, but as it is, it's definitely worth the price, I will forever be looking for this game within other games, I think it's already inspired a few other games in their development.

I can't even play because the mouse won't stick to the window, whether it's fullscreen or not, whether i'm aiming or using menus, the mouse cursor moves over to my 2nd screen and i start clicking random ♥♥♥♥ on that screen. I also cannot customise the keybinds how i'd like, it has combination keys set for some things, but i can't set any, I was trying to set Shift+A as dodge left but nope, only shift, or A, combination keys not allowed.
I've owned this game for ages and I can't believe neither of these issues have been rectified, they just seem like incredibly basic things which should have been fixed, also the camera sensitivity is incredibly high even at 0 so I cannot play how i'd like... All these issues just seem like it's poorly ported which is somewhat typical of capcom, will never buy another capcom game unless it's known to be ported properly, cause this is just an absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Recenzie acordată în perioada accesului timpuriu
As it is, it feels like it has the same amount of content as a full/completed game, it gives me pretty strong "how to survive 2" vibes but I feel this game has even more potential. The sandbox mode randomly generates a world and tons of things to do, you'll get a lot of hours of gameplay building a base, exploring, surviving zombies, raiders, and looters, while building and managing your community. The in-game editor (and promise of even more features to come) is what makes this really exciting for me, anybody can build content, stories (campaigns?) create custom weapons and gear, etc.

It's currently in early access and there are two features I would most love to see. Currently characters can be "favourited" and then tweaked/played as the main character, however there's currently no way to insert them otherwise (short of spawning a random npc and editing them to be a clone). Would really like to see a editor or debug menu option to insert a favourited character, or maybe an option to start the game with two players.

The second feature I'd most love to see: saving a sandbox generated world as a story. I've generated a few random worlds that felt they had a really unique mix of things and I would have loved to tweak them in the editor and replayed them as a story, I feel that if this feature was implemented, it would definitely make modding/creating stories viable even without the editor being complete yet.

Also for under $10 definitely worth a play, I stayed up all night playing this, it's pretty decent which I feel is rare in a lot of early access games :)

NEEDS STEAM SAVE CLOUD SUPPORT
NEEDS MOD/CUSTOM PORTRAIT SUPPORT
Otherwise, pretty well done with writing I found very enjoyable.
I would like to see more portrait options, or at least custom portrait support, I thought it pretty weird I couldn't insert any custom portraits for a game like this. Hopefully this sort of thing may be added in a sequel if they make one :)

TLDR Only downvoting cause I want more customisation options during character creation (please don't flame).

I'm just waiting for a more masculine/male character or beard customisation option for immersion purposes, it's pretty much vital for me to be able to fully enjoy any game for longer than an hour because I like to insert a specific character into games who I imagine transcends infinite dimensions and universes :)

Hope nobody flames me for this "not recommended" vote, I recognise different people look for different qualities in games and plenty of people think immersive customisation options are a superficial thing, but hey, that's what I like and I hope the devs consider adding it :)

As the game is currently, I find it difficult to recommend to friends, there's a couple of design "flaws" that just bring the entertainment down for me.

Level designs have me exploring the inside of a building trying to find an exit to get to the objective literally just on the other side/outside of the building. I end up having to go back to the entrance, leave and walk around the whole building even though there's numerous closed doors and closed windows painted all over the building. In my head I go "why is it that in a half ruined building with multiple exits and windows, there's only one entrance/exit and I have to walk around the whole thing to get to my objective, instead of just explore and go through it?" this is just poor level design, there's too many dead ends and unnecessary obstacles.

Ability cooldowns seem to take too long for them to be a reliable part of the action, particularly the melee ability cooldown (i like to play aggressively with shooting+melee) it just doesn't seem that viable, at least early game?

The movement abilities and "parkour" aren't very good, warlock flight lacks control (maybe for pvp balance?), and I have had numerous frustrating moments trying to climb a building and slipping off something because i didn't land on it soft as a mosquito, or i jumped and hit an invisible bump (poor collision/mesh data/design??), then there's often too many surfaces that you simply cannot stand on (crumbled wall? apparently cement isn't stable enough to stand on??).

The maximum field of view still feels like tunnel vision which just feels weird when trying to parkour, or melee/fight in enclosed spaces.

The presentation of (or lack of) information triggers me, it's terrible, you go to a reward vendor and they give no information on how to earn rewards/currency/join the event/anything, I am constantly having to Google the info that should be right in front of me. Often I'll get some update or something pop up and say "visit X to join the event!" without info on where X is located, I understand after playing for a while, you get to know where the NPC's are, but it's just plain lazy not to add "at X" or "located on X" though it looks like they've condensed NPC locations to a central hub, this was not the case in earlier versions.

I came back and logged onto my noob characters to find they had been pushed to the old level cap of 750, while still wearing crappy gear with almost no bonuses, it was impossible to survive the new "intro" and I was forced to delete them, this is a clear oversight and it just feels like the game is full of these oversights.

I believe the lack of polish and the above mentioned issues make it difficult to get new players hooked, there seems to be a bit of a learning curve before you can enjoy all the game's content, and it doesn't really present this information well to help with that learning curve.

Highly recommend, I have minecraft and while some of the aesthetic is similar, it's a very different experience, plus in both games, they have a message to try the other game! So they aren't in competition with eachother, because despite their similarities, they are very different experiences.

Have spent hours just building with friends, fighting monsters, etc. highly recommend, it just gets crazier and more fantastic as you go on!
