crashes

i have a lot of fun with the game but in the current state i cannot recommend it. there is just to many bugs right now, from items disappearing in your stash, team lobbies being glitched out where only one person loads into a raid and items selling for very high prices. for some reason one of my helmets sold for 300k to the traders, not that it really matters because you cant really buy much from traders anyway. its mainly just there to unlock crafting recipes.

check it out in 6 months again and see how it will be.

cool atmospheric stealth oriented game which is worth its money.

while i like that the game tries to be its own thing, the only negative thing i see with the game so far is the level design, people call it "thief with guns" but the levels are nothing like thief. compared to thief, gloomwoods levels are just too linear. you can go back to earlier areas but there is no real reason to do that.

being stuck exploring those big areas often going in circles to past areas for many hours was what made the original thief so fun.

i hope future levels will be more open.

best stealth game out there

infantry combat overhaul made the game fun again

Fun stealth focused game set in a cowboy setting.

bad

the good:
-nice new graphics
-bullet drop because long ammo larries were boring af before this patch

the mixed:
-new map plays meh, i like the fights in the woods a lot but it has the same problem like desall where its to vertical meaning it goes up and down and up and down to a point where it takes forever to go from one side of the map to the other. it gets boring fast having to replay the same map all the time.

the bad:
-unfulfilled promises such as the new voice system similar to discord where you can queue up with a random third guy and no dolch FMJ nerf which the devs have promised
-horrible UI
-spear is busted since it deals very good damage and is literally better than any other melee weapon because it only takes a tool slot
-necro for solo and teams got nerfed into oblivion meaning there is now more camping, solos on top of the MMR changes which were enough now have to deal with only being able to revive 1 time killing that playstyle in high/mid elo.
-new burn speed means you can't be more than 100 meters away from your teammates because everyone just insta burns with flare pistol
-the game has gone from rewarding good aim to spam showdown this match with everyone using dolch fmj, levering, fanning, etc.
-bad performance for a lot of people
-stupid amount of bugs and crashes such as opening the map during a boss banish
-currently no ping limit at all meaning every person can play on every server increasing trade kills by a lot

looking at other reviews of this engine update there will be a pretty sizable part of the community that will leave the game.

as a hunt veteran i give it a 5/10. its not the worst state the game has been in but it also is far from the best.

one of the best horror games out there. damn the audio is just so well done too bad im too scared of playing it.
