Though it's advertised as Early Access, the game is actually in Pre-Alpha, and nowhere near ready for public release. There are a multitude of problems, but the most glaring of them is that the primary gameplay features are currently unfinished, resulting in the game being practically unplayable except for camping at a specific spawn point that guarantees food will be there.

If you venture to leave this one particular spawn point, there is no map function, and much of the map is very repetitive and similar. It's very hard to find your way back to the 'camp', so expect to die more than play.

NPCs for the questing advertised in the game rarely spawn correctly, and interaction is janky at best. There's very little chance of actually finding or accomplishing the quests or any objectives other than wandering around, desperately hoping that an NPC or food item will spawn in a feasible vicinity.

Food items to keep you alive (not that the game indicates what the various bars are) spawn extremely rarely. You can go upwards of an hour without finding one food item, and in that time die multiple times. Players will reassure you that you will find food at the camp, but if you don't spawn there upon booting up the server (spawn location is randomized), then finding the camp before you die is a relatively herculean task with the sheer size of the map given, and even if you know what few landmarks there are, getting there with the speed of travel as it is before starvation sets in can be a challenge on its own.

When weather events happen and during the night cycle as well, the game's visibility is reduced to near-0. On maximum screen brightness, expect to not be able to even see your character, let alone other players or items. Even lowering the intensity of shadows to medium won't spare you the pain of not knowing where you are or who is around you - you have to turn them off completely just to be able to see. Please devs, for the sake of our retinas, turn up the gamma.

Fantastic, visually stunning and existential game. 2B is my wife.

However, DON'T invest unless you've got a DAMN good computer. I've been playing at what feels like 2 fps and in slow motion the whole way through so far.

But you can ride a moose, so that's cool.
