This game is really fun. I never usually play FPS games but I play this game with my friends all the time and it is like being in a wild-west shootout. Really scary and fun game. It is satisfying and exciting to play even when we lose.

Playing this game feels like a punishment
There is a lot of grind in th game but it is stressful instead of boring.
Kind of like the Sims except where a giant bird runs up and kills you if you ever stop moving

This game feels really incompletely made, like it is still on Beta mode from how buggy it is and how counter intuitive every action in the game is. UI windows inconveniently cover the screen and cannot be resized, simple actions like moving animals require several steps, and it is disgustingly frustrating to build paths and fences, the simplest and most important objects in the game. For some reason, all guests and zoo workers apparently need the paths on the ground to find their way around and function, but the paths cannot easily be joined together or edited, and must be built in curves instead of grid.
This game is also missing simple elements that made Zoo Tycoon games fun in the past, like the ability to walk around your own zoo, interact with objects, or even just pick up trash off the ground -- instead in Planet Zoo you have to rely on staff members who will just stand around and pee their pants instead of doing their job. For some reason, Planet Zoo also has the annoying terrain pickiness mechanic of Zoo Tycoon 1, which was taken out of ZT2 for good reason. Also, the most disappointing thing is that you can't place animals outside of an exhibit in this game. It was so fun in Zoo Tycoon 2 to build up a zoo full of happy people and then set lions loose and watch the chaos unfold, but this game does not allow that. Really unfortunate.
All in all, this game is difficult and not fun enough. Bugs need to be repaired, UI needs to be improved, and more features need to be added.

I was really excited about this game when I first saw the promotional material for it but... it just doesn't work. The first time I tried to play this on my computer it lagged so badly I was entirely unable to move the character through the "beautiful" environments. I spent 90 minutes just slowly, laboriously directing the diver from the starting location into the adjacent area. I just tried playing it again on a stronger computer and while it ran a little faster, it still does not run smoothly at all and it is very difficult to control the character. Within the first area I have found there are also these terrible little yellow robots that flash bright white lights quickly across the entire screen. It's like a large white circle flashing rapidly across the entire screen, it's giving me a headache and there does not seem to be a way to turn it off. The scenery design, from what I've seen in the trailer, looks very nice, but overall I have not enjoyed playing this game, and the glitch that produces the large flashing circle makes the gameplay intolerable.
