This is the best worst game you'll ever play. Requires you to know absolutely everything or you'll get TREMENDOUSLY crushed. Honestly you'd be better off to spend learning other games than this one :/

I have been killed more by traps rather than ennemies dueling me...

In 2024 where FF14 are able to make perfect launch without any issues even when they break their peak activity record during the launch of the expansion, Amazon games doesn't learn from their mistakes of new world and launch is absolutely horrible.

Couldn't create a character, then by some UNHOLY MAGIC they are able to add new servers ! Oh, incredible ! so you HAVE the resources for everyone, but you chose not to deploy them.

But it's not over, logging in the server is not enough because if you are not quick enough to create your character, you get disconnected from it. And then, you can't log back in and you are welcomed with : "Character creation impossible" error 10.

If this launch can teach you anything, is that this game will probably have the same care that new world had. which means it's probably going to suck.

Again, in 2024, there is absolutely no excuses to have terrible launch & server issues. We've seen that it can be managed. This is laziness from the dev parts. Especially if they are able to create new server DURING launch.

It is just a testimony of how the game will be treated.

Also before you ask, i'm on optic fiber, so no this is not connection issues. I'm not going to remove this review later, cause we have to recognize patterns and the game industry showed us enough time that they don't deserve our compassion when they make mistakes.

If you've never played a monster hunter, this one is the biggest one of capcom on top of it being a great game.
I've been a monster hunter fan since monster hunter TRI. Worlds gets you more fluidity, is more welcoming to beginner, and will scale the difficulty perfectly until you get to the hardest of fights.

If you like dark souls type of combat, this game is obviously from you, after all, Fromsoft definitely took inspiration of that game when making their own.

There's a lot of different weapons, you're sure to find your playstyle among them as they all are unique and they feel different to play.

This game put you in the role of a hunter. But you don't hunt deers or rabbits, but terrifying monsters/dinosaurs/dragons. Why do you hunt them ? Because something changed. See you're not a hunter just for fun, you have a whole guild of hunters, but also scientists, field researcher...etc. They study the eco system of where you live. And when something goes wrong, they investigate, and if they have to kill a 15 meter beast as it's the only solution they have, that's where you come up.

You get your big sword, or katana, dual blades, or even a bow or some sort of rifle they call bowgun, and you deal with the matter.

the first fight may be easy for you, or it may be not. It is a game that requires you to be attentive : Monsters have behaviors. You won't see any HP bar, you have to pay attention to them. they are all very well designed in how they act & react to things. For example, you can tell a monster is soon dead by the way it's walking. if it starts limping away, you know you're getting close.

Your environment will be your friend too, as they add QUITE a lot of details. Natural traps can be used like vines, or even boulder that just need a tiny bit of a hit to fall down on your foe.

In other word, this game is highly dynamic, it does require you to not go in auto pilot and to pay attention, the perfect recipe for the greatest boss fights you'll ever have in any game (along with any of the soulsborne/soulslike game :))

Worst monster hunter to this day.

Reach master rank, and play anything else than bowgun or bow, and you just spend your time running behind monster, dealing 100 to 500 hundred damage (with sometimes when you finally manage to make it fall to the ground, 1000 to 1500 (3000+ for great sword) where bowgun deal 2500 damage MINIMUM AT ALL TIMES.

See the mob going from one spot to the other of the arena in a second while you just follow him, only to miss your ONE attack that you can place, don't even try to place a long attack or else you're going to get the three quarters of your life taken away.

Not only that but then the fake longevity of the game where they give you the same monsters again and again and again and again, and then again but wiht red butterfly on them but really they're the same just they have more HP

♥♥♥♥ monster hunter. Sunbreak is not worth the money too.

This game has, as expected, too many bugs to be enjoyable.

Try building a vehicle, well balanced ...etc so it doesn't roll over.

you go in a straight line then all of a sudden you get propelled in the air for no reason and your vehicle is now upside down.

Have this happen every ten minutes.

Little hidden gem, imagine Spelunky mixed with roguelike with a great difficulty that makes the game addicting when you get better

To whoever finish this game is rewarded with an incredible feeling of accomplishment and a lesson for life.
Never give up. Hard work pays off, and when it does, you can savour the greatest victory.

Start it, and no matter what you do, don't spoil yourself, and finish it. take it as a sacred experience that will teach you to be humble, then make you adapt, and triumph.

Que des fdps qui kick alors que c'est toi qui te fais teamkill.
Que des fdps qui ne jouent pas l'objectif et qui sont pas foutu de regarder leur écran apparemment aussi.
Le jeu est méga lent et pas super réaliste, tu fais des dash quand tu tape olol les guerres médiévale pas mal
aussi vos flèches vont aussi vite qu'une mémé qui traverse la route
Mes sarbacanes en 4èmes tiraient des projectiles plus rapide que ça
