Really fun game, definitely not a traditional ARPG - more of a soulslike.
The complaints about the time-gated city upgrades are largely a non-issue for me. It just means you'll have it the next time you play the game (+ now they've added upgrades to reduce the time). The secret vendor that appears at a specific time is a little wonky but to me, this is far from a reason to give the game a negative rating.

Difficult game but addictive gameplay & has recently been getting updated (with a mod framework too!), often on sale for cheap. Fun time waster if you like indie games.

Fun little game with mechanics that add a lot of replay value, and it's open source on GitHub! Made by the author of an excellent Love2D tutorial (which you should definitely check out if you're interested in game development).

Awesome for a free game that you can play with your friends, lots of different playstyles and weapons and unlockables. Check out the base game if you like the gameplay

This is NOT 2D Minecraft as lots of people say. It's more about going into dungeons and killing bosses and getting to the next tier of items. There is building as well, for instance, you build a village for your NPCs to live in. You will get hours of entertainment for such a low price, with great replayability from its awesome mod community (tModLoader). Highly recommend.

Fun little game that you can beat in one sitting (except for that one achievement, haven't tried it yet). I beat the 3 bosses in 8 minutes. Really fun and simple mechanics, a fresh take.

Fun little 3D puzzle platformer if you're looking for half an hour to kill. In the same sort of genre as Portal / Antichamber.
