it's gonna sound like I really don't like this game, but I've enjoyed it a lot. I'm gonna complain about some things though.

enjoying the game, but this is not an rpg. it has rpg progression elements but you don't get to make a lot of meaningful choices. scenes where you are talking to characters feel almost completely on rails. many of these scenes could just be cutscenes, but they still make you mime the action of "choosing" an option, even when there is only one choice. I think it's condescending. it gets boring when I get a menu that's like, "press F to use the air fryer" and then I just watch my character talk about the one and only thing the game is letting me do right now as they do it. can't save during a lot of those scenes either so you just have to sit and watch, but you can't space out because the game keeps making you push buttons for no reason. a lot of the story is boring too. I don't really care about all these little plot details which just boil down to "we need to go here jack in and take X so we can implant it in some other ♥♥♥♥ and then etc etc." the story is at its best when I get to learn about the characters and their histories. I really liked takemura and jackie.

that being said I love the atmosphere, and it's very fun to play when it's not making you watch a first person visual novel about microchips.

P.S. oh yeah what the ♥♥♥♥ is up with some of the upgrades in this game? are you kidding me? you'll have an implant and then you'll unlock the next level of it. so you go to buy it and you compare the stats: "oh my current one gives me +2.3% melee damage, but the NEW expensive one gives me +3.1% more!!!!!!!" Big ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ deal
