The worst single-player game Bethesda has ever made.

Exploration is completely meaningless, resource gathering is pain, loot system is a joke (enemies don't even drop their equipment), the music sucks ass and the companions are all the same.
The entire game is just fast-travelling from one badly written quest to the next.

The game feels like it could be genuinely fun, but is kept back by the no-fun-allowed DnD 5e ruleset.

DOS2 lets you go wild with the surface system by giving you essentially unlimited spells.
BG3 gives you limited uses of all spells and forces you to long rest to replenish them (and long rest affects quests). Not to mention that the Concentration mechanic renders a lot of spells virtually useless.

In DOS2 you had to make sure that your party comp covers as many skills as possible to make sure you are prepared for every situation.
In BG3 nothing matters, everything is a diceroll, you can just reload the game.

Also, this is a bit unrelated, but everyone in this game is super horny all the time and the interactions with companions feel like playing a WEG.
