This is probably the most fun Lost Planet game in the series, but it's made for co-op. If you play alone, you won't get the FULL enjoyment that you would playing online with other people. Which is a shame because the community is next to dead on PC. I hear on Xbox it's still alive in kicking, though.

The story in this game is also, of course, sparse. For a co-op arcadey action-filled TPS it's really not big on story, but it's more for atmosphere. The other thing about Lost Planet 2 is there isn't enough ice and snow. There also isn't enough Akrid, you fight more humans than Akrid throughout the whole game. But if these things don't bother you (and they shouldn't), this game is more than worth the 20 bucks.

CONS
-No DLC from the Console Release
-No Boss Rush mode which was with DLC
-GFWL doesn't have cross platform play so multiplayer population is 0 outside of Co-op
-No Monster Hunter outfit as far as i know
-Still uses GFWL and not Steamworks
But those are honestly not bad enough to detract from the whole experience. Heck, if you want to play VS mode there's always System Link/LAN tunnelling.
