Short.

I passed my digital system design course thanks to this game. Even though there are no similarities between the course and the game.

I really wanted to enjoy this game just because I really love RE series. However this game failed to impress me so far. The cons that comes to my mind are as follows:

* The game is generic. If you love horror movies/games, you expect what to encounter from miles away.
* The gameplay is boring and looks like repetitive. There are some mechanics that doesn't make any sense. For example there was a mechanic where player needs to hide inside a wardrobe and then stabilize the heartbeat of the character they are using. Which requires some timed action to press left and right trigger buttons in a rhythmic fashion.
* The game relies upon jumpscares to scare the player way often. Don't get me wrong, the jumpscares are good thing to scare someone however, repeating it so often and relying upon them too often, makes them banal. Jumpscares become irritating.
* The story isn't interesting to follow. Let's give an example. In RE series, there is a virus and the player needs to survive. In the Silent Hill series, they depict psychological horror. In this game, paranormal forces are spoon fed to player.
* The facial expressions of the characters and the animations are too janky. The controls aren't smooth as well. Characters move like they are some kind of Tiger 1 tank. The manouverability of the characters are low.
* The puzzles are boring to solve in this game.

There are some good merits with this game. I really like the permadeath system. It impacts on the story. Also I really like the photograph jumpscare. That one was the one and only good jumpscare in my opinion.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend this game. Does my recommendation make this game a bad one? No. But I didn't enjoy that much.

I wanted to write this review when I've 100% completion so here it goes.
Some of the boss fights are really frustrating because whenever the boss hits, it's a sweep attack and all we have is our jogging animation which isn't something good against a sweep attack. Other than that, the game loses its scary factor when you play it like 3 times in a row. In my 3rd gameplay I was bored with all of the lack of bullet stuff. Then the game's speedrun factor comes into play. As a player, I wanted to complete the game as quickly as possible. Which is good thing. The replayability of this game is huge. Game rewards the player's multiple attempts. The visuals and the sound design of the game is phenomenal. I bought this game with the money that I've got from solving a friend of mine's midterm. I wasn't thinking buying this game but I'm glad that I've experienced it. So yeah, if you like horror games, this game is one of the best in my opinion.

Bought this game. Tried to execute some bash shell. Then I've realised that I don't know how to work with bash shell.

Made a creep, then kept calling the same girl over and over, got married with her. Kicked out the neighbor from their home. Had 2 kids. Got rich due to ponzi schemes that I've conducted over my wife. Died because I couldn't figure out how to get out from the pool.

Now we can talk about the game.

Thanks capcom, I got some free money from this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. Unfortunately no one plays this game. If you are into resident evil series, just buy RE 3 and run this game on the background for trading cards.

I played the beta, at least there were some online players who played beta. Now the all time high for this game is 220 people. It is sad.
