A damn good sequal that honors the legacy of Titus and Space Marine 1, and does justice to the 40k Universe. A brilliantly fun game with great music, excellent melee and ranged combat, with satisfying missions and dynamic foes that the hive-mind desperately throws in your way to slow your advance, however futile. This is a game that would make Him on Terra Proud.

It went through a very, very rough year. But now, after a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ year, it's become a standard "Tide" game. The trend, however, of games becoming good A YEAR AFTER RELEASE is unacceptable. But this is good now. Should've been this way AT LAUNCH, though it was still fun despite the flaws in the beginning. Still, releasing an unfinished product should always be unacceptable.

In short, game good now.

Honestly, Outlast Trials is outdoing most of the bigger games released in its time. Compared to other AAA games, outlast has little to no bugs, a solid gameplay loop, fits to its themes, has perfect/fitting voice acting, and delivers on a solid horror and co-op experience. It's even got lovely little details in the lobby, the minigames, the upgrades are built into the facility instead of just being a menu, and the story is fitting.

It's about time the co-op horror genre had a good entry.

All the elements and details play together well, the mechanics work to provide a solid experience, and the fact that foes can take you down in more ways than just one is a plus.

The only flaw is that it doesn't have enough trials, and that's a good flaw in this regards. It means that the trials/content/missions that are available are good, and have me thirsting for more.

This is one of the most complete, most detailed, and most passionately/lovingly developed game to release this decade. Seriously. It's about damn time we had a developer make something AND COMPLETE IT BEFORE RELEASE, as well as ACTUALLY LOVE THE THING THEY'RE MAKING. This is amazing, Frictional, excellent job, you guys are Kings and Queens and Non-Binary Ing-Ueens too.

With that being said, the new features in the game are done incredibly well, the shooting and the AI, and the fuel, well done. Not going insane in the dark is replaced by the monster being more active in the dark, excellent. The design, and the story, although simplistic, are good in their own right and get the job done. Puzzles are well thought-out, and the randomized aspects are perfect.

Well done. Well ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ done. About damn time we got a COMPLETE GAME AT LAUNCH that's also MADE WITH LOVE INSTEAD OF GREED.

God ♥♥♥♥♥♥' dammit. It's so sad, because this game PLAYS LIKE HALO SHOULD at its core. BUT EVERYTHING ELSE IS HANDLED SO POORLY. The miniscule amount of content in the beginning was forgivable, they gave us a fun game, but NOW? After so many PROMISES BEING BROKEN and DELAYS FOR POST-LAUNCH CONTENT which is BARE-BONES ITSELF! I cannot recommend this game.

Some may say that it'll be good later, like it's a show or something, "It gets good in the 2nd season!" But here it's taken them a year (or damn near close) with just this one game. Let alone TEN YEARS with the HALO FORMULA THAT BUNGIE PERFECTED IN LESS THAN HALF OF THAT!

Forge might be great, when it comes in however many MONTHS, but who knows. What we do know is that 343i has failed for ten years, I'll leave it at that.

A FEW YEARS AGO, it was great. Me and my friend from across the ocean could play together with ease, and the UI made sense. Everything was straightforward, and was exactly what you expected it to be. Beyond that, the game was dripping with it's amazing themes and immersive setting. Every element of gameplay had an in-setting explanation, and it was captivating.

NOW... The UI is incredibly confusing and crowded. Different advertisements and setting that don't fit the tab you're in flank your screen. Some settings and tabs are in locations that feel like you need to go through a maze to find. Not only that, but recently, me and the aforementioned friend-from-across-the-pond cannot play together even if we followed the directions the game recommended when such problems occurred.

Furthermore... Celebrity cross-overs and pop-culture references in the game have made it lose it's theme. Ghostface and Post Malone are amazing but how does their inclusion in Hunt further the grimdark story the game was trying to tell? The answer is, they don't, they exist to put their faces on the cover and make players buy them. But that's whatever, it's sad, but I can still play a game if it's fun and works even though it loses its theme. The problem here, is that the game doesn't feel fun and isn't working properly, AND has lost its theme as the icing ontop.

In short. Unless Crytek changes the UI and the problems preventing me from playing with my friend, the latter of which worked seamlessly not even two months ago, I will not recommend this game.

Crytek, you know better, do better.
