I've been holding off writing this review, because I cant come up with anything to make the review more than one sided. I just REALLY love this game...

I got my eyes on the game a long time ago, from Geek&Sundry on Twitch, who was showcasing it as a local Co-op shmup.
I instantly went to Steam and picked up the game myself.

At first, i struggled alot with the game. Not because i didnt like it, but because it WILL be difficult for you at first. But it's so tight, that regardless of how many times you end up running out of battery (The games life system) You want to try again and beat it.
I actually had to give up on the end boss, and return with new energy to tear it apart.

A few hundred hours later, and we now got a growing community for the game where players go head-to-head in the Daily Drive mode. Speedrun the campaign mode, and overall just have tons of fun with this very simple, but insanely well made game.

On top of all this, the sound and music is absolutely amazing. So much so, that most of us went and bought the OST to be able to listen to it anywhere. (Perfect gym score btw)

So overall, I can't give this game any less than a solid 10. Theres just nothing i can think of that would reduce that..

My personal GOTY!

First, let me get the speculation over performance out of the way.
On planet FPS: 70
In space/station FPS: 120
Graphical settings: Everything max.

Specs:
GPU: 970 @ 1350MHz
CPU i7 @ 4,2GHz
Ram: 2400MHz

With that out of the picture, the game is absolutely amazing.. I went in looking for a place to lose track of time. And boy did i find that.. Being able to explore everything in my own pace, and chose whatever *I* want to do, is simply amazing to me. I cant stop playing...

With only a few launch-date bugs, i really think Hello Games did an absolutely stunning job here. I can name several triple-A titles with a more wonky start than this. Remember, this is an Indie game....

10/10 from me.

My best Dragon Ball experience so far!

If you're a fan of Dragon Ball games, and dont mind grinding quite a bit to get everything there is to obtain, Xenoverse is definately a must-have for your collection!

The combat is very smooth, with only a few "bugs" with the camera spinning around if you get into odd positions vs. the target you are locked on to.
Like most fighting games, it can be insanely frustrating at times. But being wellmade, it makes you want to retry until you beat that mission or character you just couldnt.

A major downside to the game, is the RNG.. *Everything* is RNG based... From the trainers you want to train with. To the gear you want to collect.. Even when you perform every task correctly to spawn a certain character, the game might still decide not to spawn it for you.

The multiplayer aspect of the game is also a bit wonky. With the 60FPS lock that performs kinda bad, and the netcoding that will make most PVP lag alot. - But if you are looking at this title to play a solid PVE fighting game, i ABSOLUTELY recommend it!!

I really enjoyed this game, until you encounter level design thats so poor, it makes you want to end your own life, right then and there.

Absolutely cant recommend this game to anyone.

Rocket Fist is ALOT of fun!

It offers a very well made campaign with 5 Zones to explore, each with their own Boss and increasing difficulty.
The combat feels very smooth, and is playable with a controller, on your keyboard or even with mouse only (Mouse was my choice of control and i loved it!)

As a streamer on Twitch, you are able to connect your chat with the game, naming the enemies in singleplayer after active chatters, which makes for tons of fun.

After completing the campaign (Had to scale down the difficulty to Easy cause im a scrub) we tried out the Local Multiplayer mode VS. Bots, where the chat was able to vote for effects to happen in the game. Like Superspeed, Slowmotion etc.

All in all it was an absolutely amazing experience, and i encourage both casual players, speedrunners and streamers to pick up this game!

(I played the game in a Alpha -Pre Release and expect the game to be even better when it drops May 12th)

Rythmic epilepsy. LOVE IT!

You will continue to see patterns when you're done playing, and this game would probably be life threathening to people with epilepsy. But its AMAZING!

Bought it on sale, and its worth every penny! 10/10

Early Access Review
FIRST LOOK =

No menu.
No options.
No settings.
No full controller support. (Lies)
Accidently hitting a button on your controller that appreantly is bound as ESC on keyboard, simply ends your game, no progression is saved, back to non-existing menu.

I might update this review if the game turns out to outshine all this crap im already facing, just having opened the game.
Salty AF.
